Butterfly time

Saturday already and another challenge from Chrissie and Mandi over at Less is More. This week the challenge is to use butterflies. Hmm, not so easy when you've leant out your buterfly stamps and punch and not in the mood for die cutting! Should have probably gone for that option as my eyes are very sore today and even with my glasses on, I can't focus properly, hoping it's just tiredness combined with hayfever!

So after working out what butterflies I do have I opted to use a much unused one from For Everything:

I've used Crumb Cake card for my base and stamped the sentiment on with Basic Black. The colouring technique is one I've used a few times now, shade with the blender pen and Whisper White ink, dry and over colour with Melon Mambo to get a more opaque pink. The butterfly was stamped on Whisper White card and coloured with the blender pen again with Melon Mambo and also Tempting Turquoise, before cutting out - this is what took me forever as I ad to have three attempts! Finished the card off with a little embossing using the Perfect Polka Dots folder.

Right, off to rub my eyes and craft as I have two classes today!
