Stampin' Up! Simply Created Burlap and Blooms Wreath

And she's back! Sorry to keep disappearing on you all, poorly children, DIY, birthdays and stuff all happening at once in the House of Jelly at the moment. Fear not I'm still here and planning some new classes and tutorials for you to enjoy.

Yesterday I braved the hot glue gun after my previous incident and am thrilled to say I didn't hurt myself once. Nor did I botch flowers. I just made this:

I had great fun making it and will be running a class in Nottingham very soon so you can come along and make one too!

I finally succumbed to creating a pop up card in a box and again I have to say it was great fun to make, not knowing how it would turn out or if it would actually fold flat when finished, but it did. I have to thank Louise for inspiring me to make it and Jo for some of the design!

Want some inspiration? Well I found some over at my fellow demo and friend Diana's blog. I loved her card so much I cased it! Beautiful design Diana! It was my Mum's birthday this week and she is over in England for a few days. I made her a card, decorated a notebook and made matching gift wrap too:

I've used Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate and Bermuda Bay for my colour combo. My accessories are from the Tag A Bag Accessory Kit.  Here's the card:

The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen and as well as punching out the Itty Butterfly, I've stamped it over the sentiment too. I also stamped on the gift packaging (we get tons of brown packaging paper in our Stampin' Up! parcels so it's great to recycle).

Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio Hybrid Cards

The other day I promised to share with you a couple of the cards I made to show at Stampin' Up! Creative Tour using standard Stampin' Up! products mixed with stuff I'd printed from My Digital Studio Software.

My colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Old Olive. I'm loving the new Gold Foil Sheets and I think it looks fab embossed with Stylish Stripes Textured Embossing Folder. The digital bits are the embellishments in the centre which I've punched out and the paper ribbon across the middle. Both are from Very Merry Twenty Five Designer Tags Set.

Same card design here, just switched the colours around and used Champagne Glimmer Paper instead of the Gold Foil.

Love the way it sparkles without covering me in glitter when I touch it!

Stampin' Up! Single Stamps - The christmas Collection

I often get asked why Stampin' Up! don't sell many single stamps. There are a few to choose from in our annual catalogue but now we have a new collection available from now until 31st Jan 2014 - you might want to get them before then though! Here they are:

You might want to take a look at the Clear Mount Blocks too as you'll need the right sized block to use these clear mount stamps - oh and did you know we do coordinating punches and dies for many of these stamps too? It says under each stamp what products coordiante so don't worry about having to choose the right product - it's all done for you.

Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio Hybrid Crafting

Hellooo - today I'm going to share with you a couple of projects I made with the help of My Digital Studio - the new digital designer software from Stampin' Up!

I was asked to do a short presentation on using My Digital Studio at the Stampin' Up! Creative Tour last week and these are a couple of the projects I shared at the end. Many people have mentioned to me that doing digital crafting doesn't give the same result as actual paper crafting so I'm hoping to change their minds! With Christmas approaching combing Stampin' Up flat pack boxes with My Digital Studio can help you create beautiful gift boxes. Here's the first one.

I used a Kraft Gift Box and decorated it with Cherry Cobbler Card and some Champagne Glimmer Paper.  

For the digital bit I selected some embellishments on My Digital Studio from Very Merry 25 - a sample shown below. I re-sized them and printed on to a sheet of Whisper White Card.

 

Then the fun starts - I've sized them to match up with Stampin' Up! punches and dies and cut paper ribbon strips too.

The next gift box is made from a Tag A Bag Box, I selected the background paper and then positioned the tags before printing to size to fit the box. Again, just printed at home onto Whisper White Card.

Stampin' Up! All Day Training in September

Woo-hoo, it gives me great pleasure to announce that myself and fellow teamie Louise are running an all day Stampin' Up! training event in September. Here is a very sneaky peek of one of the projects we'll be sharing with you on the day:

A whole day of business training and of course that essential crafting too!

 We have a fabulous day planned for you including a session on My Digital Studio, a session on DBWS and exciting stuff - we have Christmas All Wrapped Up!

 

 Oodles of ideas to temp your customers over the coming months with Christmas creations, ideas for parties, classes, events etc. Amongst the training there will be opportunity to craft - we are not charging you for any costs of the hall or refreshments and you'll receive a goody bag with £25 worth of current Stampin' Up! product. So the cost of the day is simply £25 and is open to Stampin' Up! demonstrators and anyone thinking about becoming a demonstrator too.

There will be the opportunity to swap projects with each other - encouraged but it is optional. There will be a fabulous inspiration area plus during lunch anyone who wants a starter for 10 or a re-cap on running workshops can do so whilst we munch! Also you won't want to miss the raffle - just wait until you see the prizes! Easy access to the building and ample free parking. You'll need to bring a packed lunch with you or it's a 10 minute drive to the shops.

Booking closes on 5th September. Remember you can bring along with you any customers who have shown interest in becoming a demonstrator - same price for them and they'll get to find out more about what we do and hopefully be encouraged to join your team too.

Stampin' Up! Typeset Alphabet Bunting

Aah Zac is feeling a little better today so I foresee many toys scattering the floor in a while. I think the Grandparents are going to take Blake for a swim after lunch so it'll be a tad quieter in here than it is now. I need to wear the Sparks ear defenders when these two get going!

So a few weeks ago I did a Stampin' Up! party for the lovely Sarah and she had some great stuff about her home that she'd created herself. I was particularly taken with some bunting she'd made and decided I had to have a go myself!

I've used the Stampin' Up! Bigshot dies Typeset Alphabet Bigz. It's a great set to invest in as it includes 26 letters, 10 numbers and 1 symbol too. Each is about 3.2cm high and all on a set of 4 dies.

I cut two of each letter, one on designer papers and the other on coordinating plain card.

then a bit of Tombow on the plain card, popped the Linen Thread in place and added the designer paper letter over the top.
