FREE Stampin' Up! Desk Caddy Tutorial for Charity

stampin_Up_Desk_Caddy_Tutorial_For_Charity

Happy Saturday everyone. Mine started off fabulous as The Mini Beasts and The Spark let me sleep in until 9.15. Seriously...how amazeballs is that?

So to celebrate my incredibly good mood, I think I'm going to share the love and make some of you very happy. Since I stopped doing Stampin' Up! a while back I have had oodles of emails and messages enquiring about buying one of my most popular tutorials - the Stampin' Up! Desk Caddy Tutorial.

Today my loves - it's FREE and available to download at the end of this blog post.
There's a but...........

stampin_Up_Desk_Caddy_Tutorial_For_Charity

At the moment I am trying to raise as much money as I can for Macmillan Cancer Support UK. I have joined in (again) an annual quest to Go Sober for October and so far I am 24 days without a drip or drop of alcohol - and trust me, to know me is to know my vice is wine!
I'm on a mission to raise as much money as possible and so far I've just smashed the £100 target. I have just 8 days left and I really, really, really would like to raise £500.

Support_Macmillan

Don't know what Macmillan Cancer Support UK do?

By signing up to be a Sober Hero I am doing something amazing for people with cancer. All the money raised by those Going Sober this October will make sure that Macmillan can be there to help even more people take back control from cancer.
It will mean that we can be there right from the moment of diagnosis, through their treatment and beyond. It will mean we can be there to help give them the energy and support to take back control of their life.

So thank you for taking part in Go Sober, raising a glass (of water) and standing proudly beside people facing cancer. Your support will mean Macmillan can be there so that even more people don’t have to face cancer alone.

So if you'd like my tutorial, all I ask is that if you can, PLEASE support me and make a donation, no matter how small to help me in my fund raising.

Donating is so easy and you can donate by PayPal or card payment
Click THIS LINK  or any photo in this post and then please come back to download the tutorial

It would be awesome if you could spread the word and send others here to donate and download too - please spread the word on Pinterest or other social media.

I will share next week how much I raised in total and how many downloads of the tutorial were done too.

Here is the full photo, step by step tutorial

Enjoy

Stampin' Up! Create a Cupcake

OK so is anyone else  GUTTED that Create a Cupcake stamp set is retiring at the end of this month?

What? You didn't know? Where have you been?

Listen, Stampin' Up! are retiring a whole load of products and you only have until the end of this month to get your mitts on them before they are gone for good and they launch a whole new catalogue. So before it's way too late and you're left sobbing into your scrap box, here's a link to everything that's going in my STAMPIN' UP! SHOP

Anyway, being as it's going I thought I'd better get some more use out of it so I re-created a previous card of mine. Now don't go calling me lazy as this is quite a labour intensive card.

Stampin_Up

I had to show you the inside first because I have this theory that if you subscribe or get email feeds etc you'd only see the front and wouldn't find it all that exciting and might not read the whole post! I'm right though aren't I?

See the front just isn't all that awesome.

Stampin_Up

I can't tell you how excited I was when this stamp set became available along with the coordinating Cupcake Builder Punch which thankfully is staying put. It is a fiddly card to make but if you want to have a go and have lots of patience there is a tutorial in my right side bar.

Stampin_up

I'm off to recover now with a cuppa and a browse through the NEW Stampin' Up! catalogue!

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop Tutorial

Ooh the weather has certainly hit the UK today, although so far we've been lucky and not had a storm yet - just rain, and lots of it! My boys are on hail watch and are disappointed not to have seen cricket ball sized hail stones yet (they saw them on You Tube!).

Anyhoo, wet outside means Jelly indoors and creating and I've combined my love of paper craft with my love of sewing for you today.

Stampin_Up

I've used Flower Shop stamp set from Stampin' Up! along with some fabric scraps. I haven't done machine embroidery since I studied Textile Design at university! Great to get back to it and something I'm definitely going to be doing more of.

Here are a few close ups for you:

Stampin_Up

OK, here's  how to create the look

  1. Iron on some fusible interfacing to the back of your fabric scraps - I cut the squares to fit over the image before I started. This makes the fabric a little firmer for sewing.
  2. Stamp the flower image onto the right side of the fabric using StazOn ink.
  3. Choose whatever colour thread you want to use and start stitching overt he stamped image. I've used a mix of stitches and messed around with the presser foot down and up. There's no right or wrong way to go about it - just have fun!

Stampin_Up_Tutorial

4.  I went around the flowers again in white thread as a bit of a contrast
5.  Cut the flowers out and pop to one side
6.  I cut a strip of fabric and sewed directly on to a layer of Crumb Cake card, again using whatever stitches you like and have on your machine.

Stampin_up_tutorial

Once you're happy - just stick everything in place, I used Mini Glue Dots and added some Subtles Designer Buttons too. My sentiment is from Layered Labels which I'm gutted to say is one of the Stampin' Up! retiring products.

You can view all the current Retiring Stampin' Up! products in my Stampin' Up! Shop

If you're a fan of combining crafts I'd love to hear from you - leave me a message with a link to your blog so I can hop over for a look.

Stampin' Up! Language of Love Treat Box Tutorial

It's confession time......
Who spends at least 10 minutes every day scouring through Pinterest and other blogs etc to find inspiration to create? I know I do, and I look through my Stampin' Up! catalogues and the magazines I get from Stampin' Up! for being a demonstrator. But do you know, sometimes it's just as much fun to seek inspiration by looking back through your own creativity. See I found this cute Valentine's project I made back in February 2010 and thought wow - why don't I re-make that using current projects?

Here it is, complete with matching card:

Quite easy to make too so I'm going to give you the measurements in a moment. I've used Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette and the beautiful new Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.

Stampin_Up

The card itself measures 4" square and I've used the window sheet from Quatrefancy Specialty Papers. I'm loving the thick twine that comes in the Sale-a-Bration Sweet Sorbet Kit too, it's so soft. At convention in Manchester there was an all attendee giveaway which was this stamp set Language of Love. I'm ashamed to admit this is the first time it's seen ink!

Stampin_Up

OK - here's how to make the box. Cut a piece of card measuring 6" square and score along all edges at 1/2" and 1 1/4". Reinforce the creases and cut as in the photo below. Die cut shape of your choice in the centre and pop Window Sheet behind. Cut another sheet of card 3 1/2" wide. I've used the Deco Label Framelit to shape the top of mine. Stick sides of box to the backing card - leaving the top flap as an opening for your treats.

Stampin_Up

I've always been told red and pink don't go together - never did like following the rules and our Red Glimmer Paper looks fab with the pink I think. I obviously thought so before - here is the original project. Look at the old style punches and ink pads!

Stampin_Up

Why not have a look back through some of your old projects to see if you can re-purpose them with new products too?

Stampin' Up! Purse

Well hello - I've had a nightmare few days with issues with the builders we are using at home but I have found on many occasion's an escape to the room of craft fixes all and calms me down. Yesterday was no exception and I decided to revamp an old project with new products:

Stampin_Up

It's my Two Tags Purse but as t he tags dies have retired I've switched them in favour of newer dies. What do you think? Gold is the new black right? Want some close ups?

Stampin_Up_Nottingham

Don't panic you'll be able to get your crafty mitts on all these delicious new products early next week. From Gold Sequin Thread to Gold Embossed Vellum - bet you can't wait eh?

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

If you want to be amongst the first to buy these and other fabulous products in the new Stampin' Up! seasonal catalogue, you can do so by visiting my Stampin' Up! Shop online.

I'm open 24/7 so you don't have to wait for a certain time to shop and nor do you have to form an orderly queue behind other new product hungry crafters. My door is always open. Plus you can shop late at night when your partner isn't looking, always a bonus.

Did I mention you might want to spend £45 each time you order from Tuesday too? Why it's the start of Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration promotion where every £45 spend on products = FREEBIES! This year there are even more to choose from, we're spoiling you!

If you love this bag the tutorial is available as an instant download in my right side bar, you just need to switch the two tags dies for other dies, or use the Two Tags Dies if you still have them.

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek Happy Watercolor

Busy, busy in the house of Jelly designing lots of classes and projects and I am so enjoying it - the days are flying by. I have to clock watch to make sure I'm not going to be late picking Zac and Blake up from school.

Want to see another sneak peek from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Seasonal Catalogue? I've made a card using my favourite Crumb Cake using a new stamp set called Happy Watercolor.

Stampin_Up

I'm such a fan of clean and simple cards and Stampin' Up! products really do help me to create them too. This is so easy to do and a technique I always go back to! Stamp your image in Versamark Ink and sprinkle with White Embossing Powder. Tap off any excess and set with the Heat Tool.

Next grab your Whisper White Ink Pad and a Blender Pen. Squeeze the ink pad together to release ink into the lid and rub your Blender Pen over it. Generously apply to your image. Don't rub too hard though as the paper is very fiberous.

Leave to dry or heat set again.

I've used Strawberry Slush next. Squeeze ink into the lid and apply with a Blender Pen, this time don't be so generous, it's best to start off light and build up your layers until you get the intensity you want. I've done the edges of the petals in Coastal Cabana and the centre in Crisp Canteloupe.

Stampin_Up

Really simple looking card but so pretty I think. I'm planning lots more tips and tutorials so please pop back by to take a look.

Stampin' Up! Magic Reindeer Food Video Tutorial

Aaaargh, I've spent ages today whilst the boys returned to school recording my very first My Digital Studio Tutorial. The recording bit was a breeze but when it came to the editing and producing I have a lot to learn!

So at Stampin' Up! European convention it's kind of tradition to take along a few swaps with you to exchange projects with other demonstrators to help you come away even more inspired. So I made these:

Stampin_Up

Tube upon tube of Magic Reindeer Food. In return I got some beautiful swaps which I will share with you tomorrow. For now I'm going to share how to create these, you need to get a supply of plastic test tubes first! Then fill with a mix of oats and Stampin' Up! glitter - I used Dazzling Diamonds.

And here is how to create the reindeer labels:

I printed my labels directly on to Crumb Cake Card and punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch:

Stampin_Up

Here's close up of the wording which I also created in My Digital Studio, printed on Crumb Cake Card again and cut into banner. All attached with some Linen Thread and little jingle bells I found on the Internet.

Hope you enjoy
