Fabric Bunting with owls

Can I be really obvious to anyone reading this just as I've posted it in the UK?
Blimey - it's windy out there isn't it? Just on the off chance you don't have windows or eyes and ears, that sort of thing. No doubt social media will be filled with discussions on the strong winds soon.

Righty ho, fabric bunting time. See I told you I had loads to share with you. Ooh, also I am mid changing my logo, blog and opening an online shop so I'm a little super excited about all that.

I have got to stop bouncing from one subject to the next, it's like reading three books at the same time. Back to bunting (great book title eh?).

This is what my standard length bunting looks like packaged up and ready to post.

Nice, neat and laid out for its photo debut:

Neat and straight for those who can't stand lopsided or angled photographs:

I can't hang around, I have Zac off school poorly today. It didn't stop my lovely friend Louise over at Stampin Delight calling in for a visit. Cor, we had so much to chat about and so many ideas to share too. We need a week together!

That's me for today.
Have fun

Hello!
Cor what a week. I'm a TV star now you know!
No; I'm not really but I was on the telly this week but more about that another time.

Pardon the deliberate typo in the post title. Just me effortlessly failing to show my funny side.

I have however 'bin' making loads of fabric pop up bin /desk tidies recently and thought I'd share some of them here with you as well as a few of them in use with their new owners.

Jute Christmas tote Bags

Well hello. Hope you're well.
All is good here, a little damage from the storm Barney earlier this week but thankfully no damage to us or the house!

I thought it was about time I shared some new makes with you but first I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported me and sponsored me for Go Sober For October for Macmillan cancer support. I managed to raise just over my original target of £250.
So from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU xxx

Make time - I know Christmas is only 5 weeks away (did I really just admit to that?) and so I have been incredibly busy making the festive stuff. One of my most popular makes are these gorgeous Gingerbread House jute / Hessian tote bags:

Jute_Hessian_Bags_Christmas

Isn't it cute? I could not resist this gorgeous fabric when I saw it and honestly wasn't entirely sure what I was going to create with it either.  I just fell in love with the colours and the cute gingerbread men and sweet houses. Look at the pom-pom trim I've added and the complimentary dotty fabric panel:

Jute_Hessian_Bags_Christmas

Here are the first batch all finished.

Jute_Hessian_Bags_Christmas

They measure approx 12" square (plus handles) and are about 3.5" wide at the sides. I'm selling them for £7.50 plus postage (UK only). So please drop me a message if you'd like to order one.

Off now to catch up with chores before an afternoon visit to Zac's school. The kids are putting on an anti bullying assembly for us grown ups. Can't wait.

Trendy Trees Fabric Pop Up Bins

Do you know one of my favourite stamp sets when I first discovered Stampin' Up! was Trendy Trees (wish I still had it). So imagine my delight when I was asked to make four of my fabric desk tidies with tree fabric. I knew just the right fabric as I've  used it before on other projects and it really reminds me of the stamp set.

Here are the first two - Stampin' Up! fans may recognise the retired ribbon!

Fabric_Pop_up_Bin_Desk_Tidy_Trendy_Trees_1

And the next two - only one change and I fancied using a different colour ribbon.

Fabric_Pop_up_Bin_Desk_Tidy_Trendy_Trees_1

Here they are all together with one folded down with the elastic so you can see how easy they are to store or transport to your craft events.  Mind you I am sure they could have other uses. What would you use one for?

Fabric_Pop_up_Bin_Desk_Tidy_Trendy_Trees_1

These are available to order (UK only) in your choice of fabric theme and colours. Just email me at:
Bluejellystampin@sky.com

or visit my facebook page:

It's the last day of school today before the half term break and both my boys are certainly ready for it, they were both struggling to get up this morning and Blake will be late home as the infant school are having a disco when the day ends. Hopefully that means a little lie in for me in the morning....nah, who am I trying to kid, my boys have no concept of a sleep in. Maybe we'll have a cosy snuggle family day instead, it's been a while since all of us were home for a day together.

Enjoy your weekend.

Christmas Fabric Decorations

Ooh have you seen my new 'Shop' tab above? I'm adding some of the gifts and decorative items I have for sale or to order whilst I'm in the process of building my online shop - all very exciting. I'll be adding more to the page as I get chance so please keep checking.

I wanted to share some Christmas decorations I've been making. I'm going to start with the super cute penguin with candy cane - mainly because he's my favourite!  The reverse of the decoration is shown next to it, beautiful red and polka dot and hanging on a candy cane coloured twine too.

Christmas_2015_Penguin_decoration

Now say 'aaaah'. One for Baby's first Christmas and the little bear has the year on too, a special keepsake. I can even make these with the baby's name on.

babys_First_Christmas_2015_decoration

It wouldn't be Christmas in our house without a reindeer or two and this fella is rocking his jingle!

Christmas_2015_reindeer_decoration

Here they are together. Can you imagine a tree full?

Christmas_2015_decorations

They are just £4.50 each plus postage (to UK only) and can be personalised too. Gift boxes are also available at £1.50 each (holds one decoration).

Ordering at the moment is via email to:
bluejellystampin@sky.com

or through my facebook page:

I'm off now for a snuggle with Zac as he's off school poorly with ear ache for kid.

Pop Up desk Tidy Bins

Blimey I've been so busy sewing and having fun with the family that I've not been here in a while, nice to see you again.

It's a busy time of year for me with lots of craft fairs and events so it's been heads down - needle at the ready for a while now and will continue that way into the festive season - LOVE IT!!!
Also been spending all my spare time with the boys and family, it's been / is such a blast.

One of my most popular makes at the moment are these cute fabric pop up bins or desk tidy things. I'm not sure they have a specific name. So glad to be typing that and not saying it - FACT ABOUT ME: I can't say 'specific' properly, it always comes out as 'pacific' as in the Ocean rather than the sound I made in my head before engaging my mouth. How odd is that? Is it just me or are there words your mouth stumbles over too?

Anyway, I digress, back to the sewing. Do you want to see? These are some I posted out this week:

Fabric_Pop_Up_Bin_Desk_Tidy_1

They are so cute. Here's a close up of the floral taupe ones:

Fabric_Pop_Up_Bin_Desk_Tidy_1

Same fabric in a different colour way:

Fabric_Pop_Up_Bin_Desk_Tidy_1

I adore this super cute fabric with birds and flowers on.

Fabric_Pop_Up_Bin_Desk_Tidy_1

I'm in the process of making some with very cute tress on and have requests for owls, giraffes and elephants too - whatever floats your boat, I can most likely fulfil it.

These are just £6.50 each plus postage (UK only). If you'd like to order you can pop over to my

or email me at:

bluejellystampin@sky.com

I do have an on line store in the making - it's very much work in progress at the moment and something I intend to launch as soon as possible.

I'm so delighted to share with you one of my new Christmas makes this year:

Personalised_Christmas_Stocking

Personalised Christmas stockings. These are a great size measuring approximately 20" deep and 10" wide (across the top) to give you an idea - perfect for stashes lots of small gifts in. Or to give as a gift.

They are completely made by me using a sturdy 100% print cotton and fully lined too with ribbon for hanging.

Just look at the sparkle on the glittery letters:

Personalised_Christmas_Stocking

And the soft, squishy, cuddly fleecy white cuff too.

Personalised_Christmas_Stocking

I am taking orders now but as they are fully handmade they do take a while so please don't wait too late to order yours.

Ordering is so easy, you can email me at bluejellystampin@sky.com or pop over to my Facebook Page.

Sew it Yourself Kits are back

Happy Bank Holiday - is it raining where you are too? Luckily we had planned to all chill out at home today and do our own thing and then a fun meal out this evening.

So many of you are now getting into sewing or wanting some sewing made simple so I'm relaunching my Sew It Yourself Kits with new prices.

I have three available at the moment with many more in the pipeline. The kits are great value as they come in a gorgeous gift bag - so perfect for crafty friends or children and they contain full step by step photo instructions, pre-cut fabrics so no cutting or pinning and stuffing too. All you need to add are a needle and thread (and scissors for thread) or a sewing machine. All the kits are suitable for both hand or machine sewing.

Let's start with the kit my little Blake helped me to design by drawing a picture for me. This is Roarsome the Monsta:

Sew_It_Yourself_Fabric_Kit_Monster

Shown here in Red and Green. He's just £9.50 plus postage. You can sew the pre cut elements where you like on him to change up his look!

Next the Sew it Yourself Owl Kit:

Sew_It_Yourself_Fabric_Kit_Owl

This one is super easy to put together and is available in other colour ranges too. Hootie is just £5.50 plus postage.

And thirdly my Sew it Yourself Christmas Owl Kit:

Sew_It_Yourself_Fabric_Kit_Christmas_Owl

I forgot to pop his Santa hat on when I took this photo so here's a whole load of them made up:

Sew_It_Yourself_Fabric_Kit_Christmas_Owls

These festive fellas are also £5.50 plus postage. Can't wait until my Handmade at Amazon shop opens as these will be available there. For now you can order by emailing me at:

South Hill Designs Bunting and Table Runner

Another local business woman to me is Jessica who is a South Hill Designs Artist selling beautiful jewellery and accessories.

She spotted me at an event and asked if I could make her some bunting to coordinate with her business branding and colours, of course I said yes!

South_Hill_Designs_Bunting

Doesn't her stall look pretty with the bunting and table runner too? This is her stall at a recent event in Nottingham - The Riverside Festival.

My order book is now open and I do have the fabric in stock, so if you'd like to order it's just £10 per metre of bunting and table runners are priced at £7.50.

To order please email me at bluejellystampin@sky.com
or visit My Facebook Page and pop me a message.

If you'd like to know more about Jessica and her business, please visit her page.

Pop Up Fabric Craft Desk Bins

Blimey it's nearly the end of the school holiday's for me and my boys. I've loved every minute having them home with me but it's time to start the gentle ease of getting myself back into a routine so that it isn't too much of a shock the first day back!

So today I found myself in the room of craft back at my sewing machine. I've been wanting to make these for a while after my first prototype but wanted to get them right so I could say exact sizes and stuff. I'm pleased to say I have mastered it and have now added these cute pop up bins to my product range:

Pop_Up_Fabric_Desk_Bins

I've made three samples here in a choice of fabrics with coordinating insides. They are approximately 7 inches high and wide too. Once the elasticated ribbon is released, the bin 'pops' up! I think they'll make a pretty accompaniment to most desks.

Pop_Up_Fabric_Desk_Bins

I'm taking orders for these now (UK only). You can ask for these fabrics or choose from other fabrics available.

They are just £6.50 plus postage. To order please email me at bluejellystampin@sky.com or you can visit my Facebook page

I've got so many projects to share with you that I've made over the Summer, I hope you'll pop back by for a look.

Adorable Fabric Beach Huts

There is nothing quite like a bright sunny day to put me in the bestest of moods.

Quite literally I saw the sun peeking at me from behind the blackout blind from my bed this morning (there's a slight tear in one corner!) and I jumped out of bed, happy as heck to start my day.

OK that's an outright fib, I would NEVER jump out of bed full of happy. I'm a morning person yes most definitely but I do tend to drag myself out of my box of a morning and require a coffee (usually made by The Spark) to wake me up whilst my eyes adjust to being open. That said, sometimes a small child diving on me demanding breakfast also does the trick - bet you know that feeling if you have kids?

So sunny it is and that means......outdoor photos. Fear not, I mean photos of my creations not photos of my unkempt back garden.

Want to see?

Shabby_Chic_Fabric_beach_Huts_Houses_1

What do you think? Do they make you all smiley and happy too or am I asking too much? I really enjoyed making these, all the different colours and patterns, free machining which I don't think I've done since my textiles course at university - I was even talking to my Mum about that yesterday.

Here's a close up of the three on the right. I added little birds and button door knobs complete with bobble trim along the roof edges.

Shabby_Chic_Fabric_beach_Huts_Houses_1

I id at one point contemplate adding a surf board leaning against the wall but I tried and it looked a bit like a demented banana so I scrapped that idea straight away.

Shabby_Chic_Fabric_beach_Huts_Houses_1

If you like these, they are available to order at £4.50 each plus postage (UK only).

Righto I'm off to sew more happy.

Stampin' Up! Team Gift Jute Bags

Noo - it's the last day of the half term holidays which means I don't just have to get up in the mornings and do my own thing, I have to get up, get me and the boys ready for 7.50am to get to breakfast club.

I was going to spend most of today catching up on some Project Life but instead I find myself sorting more of my fabric scraps - more of that another day however as I can't share mid sort as I'm kind of motivating myself to continue to take 'sorted and organised' photos!

Instead today I'm going to share with you some gifts I made for my old Stampin' Up! down-line Louise to give to her team-mates at a recent Stampin' Up! event - old as in used to be down-line not like 70 years old and old as in I no longer do Stampin' Up! she explained trying not to complicate matters. I'm no longer a Stampin' Up! demonstrator ...Louise most definitely is.

Stampin_Up_Team_Gift_Jute_Bag

I am in love with the pink and white sides of these gorgeous jute bags. Louise ordered them off me and gave me the fonts she wanted me to use and left the design to me. She's either brave or nuts, I'll let you decide.
I knew other than her team name The Stampin' Senoritas the rest was up to me and I wanted to include a UPS van - every Stampin' Up! demonstrators preferred van to an ice cream van as all their parcels are delivered via UPS.

It says on the UPS van: Delivering your Stampin' Up! goodies in brown boxes so you can keep your stash a secret'.

Stampin_Up_Team_Gift_Jute_Bag

I also added rubber stamp block and other various bits n bobs. The photo below is of a piece I didn't use on one of the finished bags because I totally blobbed it (made a mistake) by double imaging a logo over the wording.

Stampin_Up_Team_Gift_Jute_Bag

I wonder if the girls used them to keep their swaps etc from the day in? If you'd like to know more about Stampin' Up! and crafty stash check out Louise's blog Stampin' Delight

I'm off now to cook us a Sunday dinner (just call me Nigella) and then I shall return to the task of sorting out my fabric.

Shabby Chic Fabric Hearts Baby Shower Idea

Cor how is it Saturday already? This week off with my boys has flown by, I love it when they are home with me but I'd be a fibber if I didn't also like it when they go back to school and I can restore calm and normality back to the house during the day.

Thank goodness it's a bright and sunny day today, The Spark is working half day so the Mini Beasts are tidying their playroom and generally loafing about before getting dressed to go bounce on the trampoline and enjoy some fresh air. I have no clue what they'll get up to this afternoon as I'm off out with a friend for a spot of window shopping. to be honest we'll most likely be perusing the charity shops looking for bargains!

Right then, today I'm back to sharing a crafty creation or five. I absolutely love making my fabric hearts and when I was having a clear out of a cupboard a few weeks ago I found some stash I didn't know I had - love it when that happens. So I put these teddy bears to good use:

Shabby_Chic_Fabric_Heart_Bear_Baby_Gift

Aren't they cute? I was thinking they would make perfect new baby or baby shower gifts, especially when the parents are keeping the gender of the baby a surprise!

Shabby_Chic_Fabric_Heart_Bear_Baby_Gift

Have a fabulous weekend, I'm off to do a few more chores to earn my afternoon off, woo-hoo!

Shabby Chic Decorated Hearts

Good morning (eek 11am and still in my PJ's). I came upstairs for a shower about 20 minutes ago and got distracted by something on Pinterest - as you do and I'm still sat here at the PC. So a quickish blog post from me and then I'm off to freshen up and I expect bounce on the new trampoline with the dudes as the sun is shining.

If anyone else is after a bit of a bargain, after lots of research we went along to our local B&M stores and picked up an 8ft one with an enclosure at a bargain price. You can see it HERE

The boys LOVE it.

Would you like to see more of my recent makes and adventures in covering myself in glue? You would? That's good as I'm sharing anyway:

Shabby_Chic_Decorated_Hanging_Heart_Plaque

Another addition to the home decor range. these are lovely chunky, heavyweight hearts available in Smoke or Duck Egg with your choice of wording on. Decorated with twine and hung with really chunky twine.

These are £5 each plus postage (UK only). Why not pop over to my Facebook page to view more of my makes?

Righto - I'm off to play, enjoy your day and please visit again soon.

LOVE letters and a spot of gardening

Happy bank Holiday Monday. Hope you are enjoying the sunshine? Nope me neither, cloudy as anything here. The Spark has taken the mini beasts to soft play for a couple of hours leaving me to my own devices - the crazy fool! He thinks I'm busying myself doing housework and chores - not a chance - I'm in the room of craft.

Want to see one of my latest creations? I've wandered into the world of creating free
standing or wall hanging fabric letters:

fabric_letters_Love

Not impressed with the photographer for the photo above, looks like the silly twit nudged the table as she took the photo and sent the letter 'O' for a tipple. That would be me by the way. I think they look more impressive from this angle though as you can see the contrasting fabric around the sides better:

fabric_letters_Love

And of course a close up.

fabric_letters_Love

The letters stand approx 8" tall and come with hook on the back too to make hanging on the wall a bit of a doddle. They are made to order, each letter in your fabric style / colour choice etc for £6.50 per letter plus postage. There's fabric on the back too so they look pretty from any perspective.

You can order them by emailing me at:
bluejellystampin@sky.com or hop on over to my Facebook page for a gander.

Back to the chit chat, we decided to do a spot of gardening yesterday. OK that's putting it in really vague terms - our garden is over grown, neglected, old and pretty battered with a broken trampoline and old stuff that really needs clearing. So this year we are going to tackle it and hopefully transform it into something we love. Want to see the state of it now?

Fond gardeners, brace yourselves,it's not pretty:

It's kind of in three parts too as we are a corner plot part 1) the side of the house currently dead space occasionally used to BBQ part 2) the bit we see from the house - dead lawn, broken toys and huge overgrown trees and lots of weeds, part 3) the bit we can't see because some genius built an ugly garage in the middle of the garden before we bought the house - see - yuk!

Fear not, this hay fever suffering, arachnophobic, garden novice, runner awayer of wasps and bees is going to be brave this year and do stuff out there. And boy do I have plans so I shall keep you posted and up to date on progress, or lack of it.

I had some help yesterday from The Spark and of course Blake. We took down the old trampoline and built the new one, mowed the 'lawn'  (moss and weed ridden patch) and weeded the 'patio' (uneven area of dodgy slabs and more weeds). Below you can spot Blake with his gardening gear on going for it, whilst his older brother casually carries on playing Minecraft in the playroom!

Here is the helpful one, amidst the weeds and stuff:

And here enjoying his new trampoline!

I shall now depart the Room of Craft and quickly do the housewife thing of transforming downstairs to it's former clean and tidy self before The Spark and the Mini Beasts return to once more create chaos and mayhem.

Hugs
