Last Sweet Summer from me

This is the last time you will see a new project featuring the Sale-A-Bration set Sweet Summer as you can only get your mits on it up until tomorrow afternoon! It's not too late to order, you just need to be quick! Here's my card:

I've used Rich Razzleberry for my card base and stamped the flowers with Versamark ink, heat embossing with white embossing powder. The ribbon is Certainly Celery satin ribbon (which you can get as part of my current ribbon share - 24 metres for £22 including postage) and I've just pleated it on to the card using sticky strip to hold it in place.

I've added some self adhesive pearls to the flowers with some larger ones on the end of the ribbon. I daubed the colour on with Versamark ink and then Rich Razzleberry and left to dry.

Off for some family time now and back tomorrow with my last offering for this year's Sale-A-Bration promotion!

Going, Going, Going....

And by Monday teatime will be gone! Not long left but still time to order with me and earn yourself a gorgeous FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set or to grab an absolute steal of a bargain on the Starter Kit!

Right then, back in my craft room after a few days being too busy to get through the door I have created a project following the recipe set by Mandi and Chrissie over at Less is More. This week the girls would like to see us use three squares. please join in and comment on some of the entries as you're sure to find tons of inspiration by doing so. Here's mine:

I'm not overjoyed with the quality of the photo but it keeps clouding over and I had to be quick in the conservatoire as Blake was nodding off in the lounge and the door opening disturbs him!

I've used Early Espresso as my base and it's a larger 7x5" card too. The squares are punched using the 1 1/4" square punch from Pretty in Pink textured card. The butterflies are from the Sale-A-Bration Bliss set (I'm going to miss using this one) stamped in Marina Mist. I've layered them up on dimensionals to add some lift to my design:

I curled the butterflies before sticking them down and added some self adhesive pearls to bring them to life a bit. The sentiment is actually a rub on from the Bday Party pack. It is the same colour as the butterflies but I couldn't photograph it very well.

I popped on another pearl above the 'i' - almost didn't but pleased I did in the end!

I'm a busy lady this weekend as have to prep for something next weekend and also need to make up some business packs for the new members of Team Jelly! Hello to Lynda and Jacqueline, Mary and Linda!

Hope you all have a fab weekend

Sale-A-Bration 3 days left

Oooh time is running out now. There are just three days left to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration promotion and earn yourself FREE stamps, either by spending £45 or more on products and earning a FREE limited edition set for yourself, or by joining Team Jelly and earning yourself a FREE stamp to the value of £44.95 in addition to the fabby Starter Kit you can get for just £119 for over £250 worth of product. How good is that?

Right then a card.....I haven't had time to craft for the last couple of days as I've been busy meeting new recruits and looking after the boys whilst fighting off a sore throat and cold myself. So this is a card I made a few weeks ago at a home workshop using the Bliss stamp set (one of the freebies!).

I've used a combination of Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso to make this one and lots of pearls too. Can't get enough of them, always add a pack to my orders!

James is making us a curry now so I'm off to enjoy my meal and then an early night for me to catch up on some rest. James has relocated the x-box etc back downstairs from my craft room so I'm hoping for some quality craft time over the weekend.

Aah Bliss first day at school

Cor it's been none stop today. Firstly me and Hubby went for a walk to take Zac to his first day at proper pre-school now he is three. Then we came home, Hubby went to work and Blake went to his Grandparents. So I had a little time before leaving to pick Zac up again after the morning session to make some customer thank you cards:

I didn't quite mae enough so will have to make another batch tonight. I've used Melon Mambo, Basic Black. Basic Gray and Whisper White. Here's just one card:

I've used the flourish stamp from the Sale-A-Bration set Bliss which you can get for FREE when you place an order for £45 or more with me during February. It's stamped in Basic Gray ink and then the sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo (from Oval All). The gorgeous paper is from the Neutrals Designer Paper Stack and the lush ribbon is Basic Black 5/8" grosgrain. You can just see I've popped a self adhesive pearl in the sentiment:

Well it would be so wrong of me not to share my little lads first school uniform photos with you wouldn't it? Here he is looking very pleased with himself:

And here he is pouting, possibly disgusted with my shopping skills as the only shirt and sweat shirt I could get for him were two years too big for him!
Back tomorrow with a little look at one of the projects we'll be making in my next class and also some future class dates and details too.

Man room and make and takes

This is probably going to make you giggle. Whenever I have a class at home in the evening or a party I have to turf Hubby out of our living / dining room and re-house him to my room of craft. Not something I'm fond of doing, especially when it still looks like this this morning!

So my room of craft has been transformed in to 'The Male Room'! Nice empty tinnies left out for me to clear away as well as the X-Box!!! His excuse was if he brought the empty tins down last night he might have woken the kids up. I think not Hubby with the noise we were making downstairs! So WOYWWers - not the normal desk from me, so if you're a nosey crafter, hop on over to Julia's blog to see what's on everyone else's desks today!

Anyway, whilst Hubby was getting way too comfy in there for my liking, I was hosting my own Stampin' Up! workshop downstairs, showing off the gorgeous Bliss stamp set amongst others and here are some of the Make and Take cards the ladies made, can you guess which one is mine?

Not the best quality pic but there was no natural light at 9.30 last night! Was a great workshop thank ladies. Back tomorrow to show you the demo project I made.

Ahh blisto

One of the challenges over at ILWS this month is to create a project using wax. I don't have any wax crayons and no blank candles at the moment so I used clear embossing powder.

I've used the yummy Sale-A-Bration Bliss stamp set for this one:

I started off with a piece of Whisper White card and stamped some of the butterflies with Versamark and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Next was to brayer over gently using Peach Parfait ink followed by a gentle covering of Melon Mambo. The next stage was to stamp some of the flowers, again using Versamark and clear heat embossing then brayering over with Rose Red ink.

My final stage was to over stamp once dry using the large flourish stamp from the same set in Basic Black which I left for some time before touching it to make sure it had dried over the embossed areas.

The last thing I did was to stamp the sentiment and layer the card up on Basic Black and Rose Red.

Happy 2011

Well I managed to stay awake - just to see the fireworks on the telly! Both boys woke up wondering what all the noise was!

I had a fabulous 2010 as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and can't wait to se what this year brings. We know already it's brought us some gorgeous Sale-A-Bration stamp sets which you can get for free with every £45 you spend on products - see HERE.

Over at ILWS one of our DT challenges is to create a scrap layout so I've used the Bliss stamp set to create this 12x12 double layout:

Yes it's me! We'll have been married 8 years this August, although we've been together for 16 years! Here's the first page:

I've used a 12x12 smooth Crumb Cake for the base and then used Basic Grey ink to stamp the fourishes and a Basic Grey Marker with the Spritzer Tool to create interest. I stamped a few butterflies before adding my photo and then stamped and cut out some more on pink pirouette card and added them around the frame, highlighting them with pearls.

The grosgrain ribbon is pretty in pink and I've used the sentiment in a Hodge Podge frame:

I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed with white powder to make it show up. Instead of using brads, I stuck the frame down and popped pearls in where the brads should go. Here's the right hand layout:

I've used exactly the same method on this page and to link them together, I put the pages side by side when I stamped the flourishes (did one side upside down though - oops!). Added some more pearls around the butterflies and voila!

I now run scrapbook classes as well as card making classes and will update my class schedule this week as I have classes planned for this quarter. To take part in one of my classes, please give me a call or drop me an email, I'd love to see you there.
