Bad things happen

This morning I dropped Zac off at pre-school and left him happily playing with some clay. Chatting to another Mum I learn that one of our children's friends died last night in her sleep, leaving a twin brother and heartbroken parents, as yet with no understanding of why. I'm holding my children so tight today, as I aproach my little baby boy Flynn's fifth anniversary I think how lucky I am to have his two younger brothers.

Baby Blossoms Class

I meant to post this yesterday but got carried away after starting to sort out my craft room! Here are the projects we made in the Baby Blossoms classes this weekend:

I really enjoyed these projects as they are all so pretty and compliment each other too. Instructions are available in my side bar if you'd like to buy them!

Baby Blossoms Class

My next classes are on
Saturday 21st May at 10.30am and again at 1.30pm.
We'll be using Baby Blossoms and making some gorgeous creations. Here is a little peek for you:

We'll be making several cards and a gift item too. I still have some spaces so if you like what you see and you'd like to come along, the cost of the class is £15. Or you can pay £35 and get the wood mounted Baby Blossoms stamp set included with your kit or £29 with the unmounted stamps. If you get these it's worth getting one of the smaller clear mount blocks too.

Want to see a bit more?

I'd love you to join us. Places need to be booked and paid for by Sunday 15th May. If you're visiting the Max Papercraft Show at the Harvey Hadden Stadium in Nottingham you can book your class place there. Otherwise please email me at bluejellystampin@sky.com or phone me on 07748 707845.

Springtime Vintage Layout

I've been wanting to show you this since Saturday as I made this layout at Jules' training in Leeds. She gave us all some kit to use and we were left to our own devices to design our layout. I couldn't finish mine as I'd run out of printer ink and so couldn't add my photograph! Anyway, finally here it is:

It's a photo of my downline Tracy and my upline Steph taken in November at Stampin' Up! European convention on awards night. So to make my layout I'd been a lot inspired by a chipboard letter Anthea had done on a card and she kindly showed me how she'd done it. I decided I wanted to do something similar and using the On Board Alphabet Chipboard letters was such good fun. They started off life as dull grey chipboard letters and I transformed them to coordinate with the Springtime Vintage papers:

As you can see I've also been playing with the Big Shot dies and embossing folders and of course buttons, ribbons and pearls too!
Ironically Springtime Vintage is the theme for my next scrapbooking class on Tuesday 26th April at 7.30PM. The cost of the class is £10 or £22 including a 12x12 album. If you'd like to come along please contact me to book your place.

I'd like to share the lovely surprise birthday cupcake Jules gave to me and also to Karyn:

And here's Gem struggling to get both our sparklers lit at the same time!

It was the scrummiest cupcake ever - big fudge pieces on the top mmmmm, mmmmm! Thanks Jules!
