Recycled Lurve

I have both my boys home with me today as Zac has a chesty cough and going in and out of the cold to play at nursery isn't doing him any favours. He's been doing a spot of fabulous colouring in with Stunt Baby (who needs a new nickname now he is infact a toddler - suggestions welcome) but more of that in a bit.

Fluffy and Co over at Cupcake Craft Challenge blog have set a challenge involving a spot of recycling. I have a collection of these in the room of craft. Actually it's more of a hoard than a collection:

It looks much prettier like this:

I've used the same colour combo as I did yesterday - as hey, I'm messy and all the stuff was still out! Tangerine Tango, Regal Rose. Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake. The tub has DSP glued around the outside and inside. The circle base and lid are cut using the Circles Die (the biggest circle) and topped with 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle, 1 3/4" Circle and a stamped and cut out heart from I Heart Hearts. Would be rude not to make a matching card:

I've created the same topper on a Regal Rose card base. The fab sentiment if from the Sale-A-Bration set Outlined Occasions. I stamped it in Versamark and heat set with White Embossing Powder before colouring in with Markers. Looks neat and tidy doesn't it? Guess who forgot to wear her glasses?

Oops - not so neat close up! So do you want to see what my boys were doing patiently whilst I made this?

And here are some of the pictures they coloured too:

Quite abstract me thinks - will have to pop these in Zac's progress folder at nursery tomorrow. Two future demos in the making.

Choc in the box

I saw a few challenges that gave me some ideas this morning so whilst Zac was at pre-school I made these:

I love this heart paper, it's from the Play Date pack and it's just scrummy. I think it goes perfectly with the Heart Treat Cup too, which I've filled with little sugared hearts. The card is only 3" square:

It didn't take long to make at all, felt the need to add a sparkly rhinestone gem to it though! Here's the just as small box:

The spotty heart is stamped from I Heart Hearts, a set I never seem to get bored of.  I don't think I need to ask you to guess what's in teh box any more do I?

I got these tiny cute little cupcakes from the supermarket for Zac as a treat and ahem, yes I've had one too! I'm joining in with these challenges:

Back tomorrow with the winner of my prize draw from my craft event on Sunday and the instructions for my male themed valentine class too.

Very quick thank you cards

Sometimes, time is something I don't have much of, with two small monkeys ruling the roost and work to do too. So yesterday, I made these customer thank you cards whilst my boys ate their breakfast! I often get asked how I manage to fit in so much crafting - so here's my secret. I usually plan what I'm going to make and fill a box with everything I need and bring it downstairs. Every now and then when I get a minute, I nip in the kitchen and stamp or glue something down - usually to a loud clap and a cry of 'well done Mummy' from Zac. I've got a long while to wait before I can sign him up to join my team but he already loves stamping!

Anyway, here are the cards:

I got my inspiration from the Colour Coach using Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive.

So easy to make in a rush, layer up the card and add a strip of  Elegant Eggplant from the Regals Designer Paper Stack, stamp a heart from I Heart Hearts in Melon Mambo and punch out with the Large Heart Punch, stick all together and add a rhinestone gem for a bit of bling and voila. I also added the cute stamp I got at Convention on the back:

Isn't it gorgeous? See all these little bonuses us demos get to get our mitts on! Remember convention this year is at Disneyland Paris and all demos are invited to attend, so why not take the leap, grab that Starter Kit for just £119 and join Team Jelly! We're a quickly growing team and are having loads of fun at the moment. Drop me a line and we can have a chat about you starting yoru own Stampin' Up! adventure.

Righto, I need to go and make sure I have all my kits etc ready for my party tonight, can't wait to see everyone.

A treat for me and a fab day too

I have had the most lovely afternoon with some fab ladies. We had our first get together of Team Jelly and we crafted, we chatted and we laughed. What an inspiring bunch of ladies you are - thanks for a really brilliant afternoon. If you fancy joining Team Jelly and getting yourself the Starter Kit for just £119 plus a FREE stamp set from the catalogue, please get in touch.

Right, on to todays project which I have to confess I'm keeping! When it comes to Valentines, Hubby doesn't really buy me anything pink and I lurve pink. I also love chocolate (which I didn't used to like) so this is for me - and I ain't sharing!

I've made a card and matching treat tub. I've gone for all my favourites colours together, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette - yum! The hearts are all from I Heart Hearts and the sentiment is from Basic Phrases. Here's the card:

I've made a banner using the small love heart stamp and the co-ordinating small heart punch, I admit to using scissors again for the large heart! A bit of Brights Designer Series Paper and some bling and I'm happy! The ribbon has been ruffled by pulling one thread of the ribbon to pucker it up and then securing it around the back.

The tub is actually an empty buttons tub (always save these things!). I've wrapped the thin Real Red Grosgrain ribbon around the rim - fits perfectly and then cut circles for the base and the lid, punching the other layers and the filling with giant chocolate buttons (sorry Zac I robbed them out of your stash!)

I'm joining in with:
Off for what I hope is a relaxing evening now after being up most of last night with Blake.

Thanks with love and a new challenge blog

Bloomin' eck, it's a bit windy this morning, thought the house was going to blow down! So I'm off out for lunch in a while to meet some lovely girlie friends and leaving the boys with Hubby so I get lunch and adult time -wahey!

Feeling in a girlie mood, I just whipped these up:

I found a few challenges that took my fancy and made these for them. A cute little card and matchbox style mini box too. Here's the card:

The challenge was to use soft sky as one of the colours but we don't have that so I've used Bashful Blue, Melon Mambo and Early Expresso. The sentiment is from the level one Hostess Set Afterthoughts. I stamped and cut out the heart from I Heart Hearts and added a pearl. It's layered up on dimensionals to give some lift:

I made the little box to match and popped the same thank you sentiment on each side of the insert box and filled with little mints.

These are the challenges I'm joining in with:
Before I forget, my friends Chrissie and Mandi are about to launch a new challenge blog, so if clean and simple is your thing you're going to want to join in with Less is More.

Good luck to Chrissie and Mandi with their new venture
Well, I'd better go and get myself ready to meet my friends, or I'm going to be late!

    Feeling the lurve

I said I'd be back today to get you loved up and I wasn't kidding! I thought I'd should show you some valentines themed projects now so that you don't forget to order your supplies in time!

I really enjoyed making these, even though it was a bit tough resisting eating those jelly bellies! OK, first up is a Crumb Cake card decorated with patterned paper from the In Colour Designer Series level one hostess pack, isn't the large spot pattern gorgeous? I've used the large Heart Punch and Heart Treat Cup to make a sweetie gift card. I think this might be for hubby as ahem a little confession.......he was given a huge tub of jelly bellies for Christmas and I may have picked all the pink, red and white ones out!

Here's a close up of the fabulous heart treat cup filled with yummy goodness! Such a baragin at just £2.95 for a pack of 12.

Then a card made using the Sweetheart stamp set which co-ordinates with the Heart Punch and Treat Cups too!

I like to make use of my leftovers so I mounted the punched out heart from the card before on to some dimensionals for a bit of depth. The OXOX stamp is from Basic Phrases. Finally a treat pouch:

This time I've used a 6" square of paper from the Subtles DSP paper pack (12x12) and the heart is stamped from the I Heart Hearts set. I've cut this heart out by hand and stuck it on the pouch with dimensionals. The bag inside is a small treat bag tied off with a bit of Pretty in Pink Grosgrain ribbon.

Now I must thank Anne for the fabby award she has given me:

I need to tell you three things that make me different and then nominate another five bloggers to receive the award so......five things that make me different:

    1. I absolutely have to sleep with my feet out of the bed even in winter. Hotels annoy me with their tightly tucked in sheets and I have a battle to free myself a gap to poke my feet out of!
    2. I can't wear natural wool clothes - they make me itch and scratch like a monkey. Actually I can't stand the smell of wet wool either!
    3. I adore bright pink and bribed hubby into letting me have a few items in said colour in our white kitchen. I'm still bribing him to this day and am slowly turning my kitchen pink!
I'll pass this award on to:
    1. Tracy
    2. Louise
    3. Susie
    4. Donna
    5. Fluff
Off to put my feet up for a bit now, it's been a hectic day in the house of Jelly.
