Stampin' Up! Eastern Elegance Photo Book

Sometimes in the world of Jelly I get some really odd requests. One of my friends asked me if I could decorate up a photo album for her to pop in lots of photos of another friends Hen do. Of course I said, no problem. Then she gave me the brief:

Her name's Claire (yep), we went to York (OK), we dressed up as Crayola Crayons (really?), we had another weekend and we all dressed up as Where's Wally (getting nervous), she loves Gary Barlow (we all have our faults), she loves wine (don't we all?), we went go-karting (why?), oh we did some karaoke (again - why?), so could you get all that on the cover? (gulp......).

I did it with the help of all my Stampin' Up! stash and a bit of Internet and printer fun too:

I've used Eastern Elegance Designer Papers for my vintage style photo book. To get all the bits and bobs that I couldn't create using my Stampin' Up! products, I popped a piece of Crumb Cake Card in my printer and used various fonts to add the detail. I love the little pic of Where's Wally - printed beautifully on the Crumb Cake:

 

I punched him out with the new Artisan Label Punch and popped a couple of Candy Dots on top of the Candy Dots Brad Bases - how cool are they? Take candy dots in all our Stampin' Up! colours and create your own brads. I also popped an arrow from Essentials Hardware Clips - love these.

I made bunting from the Eastern Elegance Papers and created faux stitching with the piercing tool and Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, the stitching is drawn on with Smoky Slate Marker.

Photo below shows the details of the beautiful Elasticated Ruffle Ribbon in Coastal Cabana and the lovely ABC - 123 Sketch Alphabet and Numbers.

Stampin' Up! Papillon Potpourri meets Paper Doillies

Evening. Hope you're all having a fun Friday?

Earlier on I shared a look at some cards I was working on and now I'm showing you the finished cards. I've made 20 in total. Here is the Pool Party version.

I stamped the background in Crumb Cake ink using Papillon Potpourri and a sentiment from A Word For You. I've sewn on the Paper Dollie and die cut a banner using Hearts a Flutter Framelits.

I've punched the butterflies using Elegant and Itty Butterfly Punches from More Amore Designer Papers - these are in the Stampin' Up! Spring Seasonal Catalogue.

To finish I've popped a Neutrals Flower Button. I've been on a right craft a thon this week and have oodles of creations to share with you over the next few days.

Stampin' Up! Catalogue Case

Sometimes using the Stampin' Up! Catalogue to get your creative ideas is a good thing, I had a load of stash out on my desk from making my sticky note holders and instead of clearing it away to start afresh, I flipped through the Spring Seasonal Catalogue and found a project to case. Here they are in the making:

I made myself 20 cards in Pool Party and Crumb Cake using the Paper Doilies from the Stampin' Up! Spring Seasonal Catalogue with More Amore Designer Papers and Papillon Potpourri stamps.

Was fun to get sewing on card again too! I'll post the finished cards later on for you.

Stampin' Up! Card Meets Sewing Machine

I'm going to be a tease now and share a glimpse of some of my makes for today. I got my sewing machine out again and this time sewed on Stampin' Up! card:

Stampin' Up! From My Heart

Wow - I appear to have survived week one of the school holidays. Of course I have had help from my lovely in-laws who have taken Blake out a few times to let Zac get some quiet and rest up. I hope they took some photos of Blake as he's spent hours riding on the Nottingham trams wearing his 'engine driver' cap! Great for scrap booking - fingers crossed.

Sometimes we need to make cards for difficult times and I'm sharing one of those today:

it's a 5" square card using Natural Composition Speciality Papers (so NOT paper it's good card stock). I've added a strip of lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit which you can find in the Stampin' Up! Spring Seasonal Catalogue. The sentiment is From My Heart stamp set in Crumb Cake on Pool Party Card. 

I've used a Blender Pen and ink from the pad squeezed into the lid to add a bit of shading. Flowers are punched in Crumb Cake card with Itty Bitty Punches and finished with a few Self Adhesive Pearls.

I believe the next twenty minutes of my life have already been mapped out for me in the form of picking up all the bits of Play Doh that the mini beasts have positioned across the floor for me. Bless them!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Holiday Wreath

So exciting, the decorator is almost finished in the hallway and landing. So fingers crossed tonight we can have a good tidy up and put everything back where it should be. Then all we have to do is get the new doors fitted and it will be finished. 

Can't get into the room of craft today, imagine my horror last night when I went upstairs and the decorator had leant his ladders against my desk, popped his newspaper and wallpaper paste brush ON my chair and left bits and bobs of wallpaper over my work top - on top of work in progress and - here's the bit that made my heart stop, piled up all his dust sheets on my floor and on top of my bags and totes. The air was blue I can tell you. We've had words this morning!!

So as I can't create today I'm sharing with you something I made a while back for myself. It's a Christmas Holiday Wreath made using Stampin' Up! Designer paper stacks.

I'd seen so many of these in  real life and blogland and had to have a go myself, this one is in Melon Mambo, Perfect Plum and Pool Party. I know these colours aren't very festive to most but I want this one in my kitchen as that's the only room in the house where I have my beloved pink adorning the place!

 

They are so much fun to make it's unbelievable - very therapeutic and pleasing when finished. I actually ended up making 15 of them!! Not all for me of course. I'm umming and aahing as to do this one in a class or not - let me know what you think. Would you like to make one?

Stampin' Up! Floral District Lamp and Flowers

Blimey it's cold today. We celebrated Bonfire Night last night with the boys as James has a badminton match tonight and all the organised displays are too late for a school night tomorrow. So Spark came home armed with a box of whizz pops and the mini beasts loved watching them go up. Although Zac did give us strict instructions that all fireworks had to be attached to a piece of wood and children must stand behind the tape! Obviously been learning about bonfire night safety at school.

I'm sharing with you some projects made using the Floral District Designer Papers today. Nice warm colours to chase away the cold weather. It's a lamp shade and a pot of flowers. I got the lamp at a charity shop for £1.50, the original shade was pleated cream plastic, covered in dust and stains - yuk!

The flower pot was already mine, what a perfect colour! I made a template by rolling it on a piece of brown paper (I get a lot of packaging paper as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator) and then drew around it onto the Floral District Designer Paper and stuck it in place with Tombow.

The flowers have all been die cut using the Fun Flowers Bigz Die in the papers and matching card stock. I stuck them to wooden skewers using a hot glue gun and popped them in the pot using a circle of card with holes pierced in it. No need to weight it down.

I made the lamp shade in a similar way. Laid out some brown packaging paper. Then I took great pleasure in ripping off the original shade leaving a blank wire base to work with. Again I rolled it on the brown paper and drew around it to create my template. The template was too big for one sheet of 12"x12" paper so I had to line it up across two. Next I covered the wire frame with Sticky Strip and then carefully rolled the frame with Floral District Designer Paper. To finish I stuck 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Rich Razzleberry around the top and bottom edges.

I actually quite like this but I won't tell you what The Spark had to say about it as it's not at all printable. Once he realised it was only for my Stampin' Up! displays he changed his tune and informed me 'it's technically brilliant'. Hmmm. I won't be popping a light bulb in here though as I'm not sure using Stampin' Up! paper alone would be fireproof!

Stampin' Up! Floral District Gift Set

Long time no blog! I've been or rather I still am suffering with glandular fever and so blogging and crafting hasn't been replaced with lots of sleeping and rest. I've made today's project over a few days and it shows off lots of the fabulous new products in the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

I've focused on the beautiful papers from the Floral District Product Suite.

I've created a cute button ring in it's own gift box along with a matching 3" square gift card and gift bag too. I adore these colours - they make me so happy. I've made the ring box before in different colours, they were my swaps for my fellow achievers om the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Vienna earlier this year.

 I made the bag so that not only is it sturdy enough to hold a gift, it folds completely flat for storage too. I used the Floral District Designer Papers along with the new 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Whisper White.

Here are all the patterns you get in this vibrant set of Designer Papers.

 To know me is to know I have a thing for buttons and for making them into rings too. I've used two of the glass like Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons with a Basic Rhinestone popped on top. It was pretty hard to photograph with one hand!

 Here it is from another angle. I think it sparkles just like a diamond. I'll be making many more of these lovelies.

Stampin' Up! Reason to Smile Vellum

Cor check out the sunshine, isn't it beautiful? I predict another afternoon in the garden with the paddling pool and the Mini Beasts of course, not one for paddling on my own these days!

I've been playing with the gorgeous Reason to Smile set again this morning. You know the one you can get for FREE this month when you place an order of £60 on Stampin' Up! products with me. That or you can just buy it - either way it's only available this month so don't delay.

It's a 4" square card with the base being Basic Gray. Next I took a piece of White Vellum Paper and stamped the flowers with Versamark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Before sticking down on the card I popped a punched strip of Pretty in Pink card underneath. Held in place with a knotted length of Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon. the sentiment is from Oval All.

The next card is very similar and uses the rest of the embossed Vellum Paper. This time I used a piece of Flirtatious Designer Papers instead of Pretty in Pink and stamped my sentiment on it too.

Stampin' Up! Blossom Punch Wreath

Finally I got round to making a wreath using Stampin' Up! products. I've seen so many different variations and decided it was about time I had a go - what sort of Stampin' Up! demonstrator would I be without having one to show to my customers?

I've used the Blossoms Punch from the Summer Mini Catalogue and teamed it up with Sweet Shop Designer Series Papers and others from the colour stacks too.

I've used quite a selection of embellishments, firstly layers using the 1" and 3/4" Circles punches, Twitterpated Buttons, Sweet Shop Jelly Bean Brads and a few buttons from some of the other colour collections too.

The colour combo is mainly Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Regal Rose and Blushing Bride. It was really easy to make - I cut a ring of card out from the back of one of the paper packs (I drew around a dinner plate and a bowl - nothing technical!) and then tied the Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon around the top and started punching flowers and sticking them down with Crystal Effects.

Stampin' Up! Domestic Goddess Recipe Box

EDITED TO ADD: Doh - how did I not notice I'd spelt recipes wrong? Maybe it's all about my love of pies! Quick re-glue job to do tomorrow then!

I've had a much needed afternoon of crafting today. I designed a recipe index card box a while back and will enjoy making it at my Cupcake Class on 12th May. In the meantime I can show you my Domestic Goddess version:

It's such a sturdy box and holds tons of standard sized cards and envelopes. The tutorial will be available from tomorrow so please pop back for that and the cupcake version too! I've used Crumb Cake card teamed up with the Domestic Goddess Designer papers. Aren't they fun? The letters are stamped from Letter It and cut out with Brights Brads popped between them.

I love these papers, the colours, the patterns and pictures. Can't understand why it's taken me until now to use them. I've punched this mixing bowl out of the patterned papers using the 2" x 1 3/8" Oval Punch and layered it with a frame from Sizzlits Lots of Tags. Here's a side view:

You can see I've decorated the inside with the Designer papers too - do you like the flip top lid?

Here's a better look at the inside. There are four dividers, although you could easily add more and it's got four packets of Stampin' Up! Whisper White C6 envelopes inside to give you an idea of it's size.

I had to make some fun cards to match using cut outs from one of the sheets of patterned paper:

I typed up the sentiments on the PC and printed direct on to sheets of A4 Crumb Cake card. I made two more:

I hope you can read the sentiments OK, if not just click on the pictures to see a bigger view. I wanted to show you that sometimes you don't need sentiment stamps, lots of dies and clever stamps to make fun cards. Just the basics!
