Stampin' Up! Christmas Holiday Planner Tutorial

Wow so many requests for this tutorial before I'd even finished it - thank you so much. The tutorial is now available in my right hand side bar. I have of course made one for myself now too:

So my Christmas Holiday Planner is made using elements from the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' Kit which can be found in the Seasonal Catalogue.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

The colours are Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Grey. I feel like I cheated Stampin' Up! a little here as the only stamping I have done is the sentiment on the front cover label. Mind you - the Simply Scrappin' kits are so versatile they allow you to get away with it.

A view showing you how many pages are inside.

And here shown with some of the inserts taken out. The tutorial includes printable inserts so you don't have to worry about creating your own.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

The Christmas planner opens out completely flat so the pages don't get damaged.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

I decorated my pages simply with Designer Papers and elements from the kit like this bauble.

I'd love to see yours when you make one so please send me a link or a photo.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Planner / Organiser

One of my teamies Louise had organised a crafty weekend for some of her girls and invited me along. I had a wonderful time and we spent all weekend sharing each others new stash - madly stamping and die cutting things each of us didn't have. But more about that in my next post.

I made a gift for Louise for hosting the weekend and for letting me stay over too. I designed my own Christmas / Holiday planner.

Stampin_Up

It's a really good size at just over 8" in height and it's so sturdy too. I've made it using Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler and Island Indigo to go with the Festival of Prints Designer Papers. They are a fab pack to get and measure 11.4 c 16.5cm so great if you don't like huge paper stacks.

The numbers on the front are Number It in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White and punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch - so glad it made it back from the mini.

Here you can see the side view with the inserts and decorated holders too.

Stampin_Up

Here's how it looks, I can't tell you how sturdy it is. The brads on the front are Designer Printed Brads in Island Indigo.
Stampin_Up

Here you can see the front cover opens flat whilst the pages are cleverly scored so that they turn without causing and damage or further creasing. Got to love the Simply Scored Tool.

Stampin_Up

A final shot showing the inserts come out. There are all sorts of pages from menu planners, to wish lists and shopping lists and even thank you lists.

Stampin_Up

I've made another one which I'll share with you along with the tutorial later this week.

Stampin' Up! Floral District Collage Box Frame

Hello - a scheduled post from me today (I hope) as the boys will be at their grandparents so I'm going to invest some time in sorting out in general in the home. Wish me luck.

So I'm going to share another project using the Floral District Product Suite that I made to show at training on Sunday to inspire other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. It's a collage box frame. I've made loads of these previously and find them such good fun to make. This one is going to live in our bedroom because I love the bright and cheerful colours.

Stampin_Up

I've used a mix of products from the Floral District Papers and coordinating stamps to buttons, ribbons, Self Adhesive Rhinestones, Sizzlits and embossing folders and punches too.
Here's a close up so you can see the detail a bit better. (sighs and wishes for a digital SLR camera from Santa!).

I'll be running a collage frame class very soon so if you'd like to make one for someone as a Christmas gift - watch this space.

Stampin' Up! Floral District Scrap Layouts

Ah, day one of the school holiday and me and the mini beasts are having a pj day! It's raining outside so snuggling indoors and play is the mission for the day. Bliss.

Yesterday I went to Monica and Bekka's training and had a fab day. I also set up a display of projects I'd made using the Floral District Product Suite. Today I'm going to share the two scrap layouts I made. The first is a 12"x12" Whisper White background:

Stampin_Up

I took this photo in the summer when we went to Kent for my eldest brothers' wedding. We stayed in a really cute bed and breakfast overlooking the sea and the pier. Our window had lovely flower boxes and I couldn't resist snapping this pic of Blake looking out - he's a million miles away.

Stampin_Up

I've simply punched squares of Floral District Designer papers and arranged them around the photo. The letters are stamped to match in Baja Breeze using the Morning Post Alphabet stamp set, I was lucky enough to earn this set for free as one of the annual Stampin' Up! awards. One of the best things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the stuff you can earn for free - it's great.

My next layout is very simple again and shows off a photo of all the UK achievers of this years Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Vienna. Such a wonderful trip and still so many photos to scrap!

Stampin_Up

I've used Rich Razzleberry for the base, teamed up with a layer of Floral District Designer papers. All I've done is to use various circle punches to add accents from the papers.

Watch this space as my scrapbook club is due to start again very soon!

Stampin' Up! Clockworks

Oops, missed a few days blogging - bad Jelly.

I'll make up for it today by sharing a set of five cards. In September I went to Stampin' Up! Leadership training with one of my teamies Nic. We were excited to be given a stamp set on the day. BUT - a stamper can't love every stamp set she gets and this was one of those rare sets that really doesn't float my boat. Determined to put it to good use I have looked at it often and not had any inspiration to use it. Despite being given make and take instructions from Stampin' Up! I know - put Jelly in the naughty corner and take away all her craft toys.....

So finally inspiration struck - as I browsed through a famous stationery store website I saw something to put my own slant on and came up with these:

Stampin_up

The stamp set is called Clockworks and has eight stamps including background images as well as the clockwork pieces. My cards are 4" square and all I've done is stamp the images on to scraps of card and cut or punch them out.

Stampin_Up

I stamped a few clock hands on the card itself too.

Stampin_up

Here is a close up of the card. You can imagine how someone more inky could make some great grungy or vintage projects with these stamps.

Stampin_up

It's half term next week so I'm going to have to try to smuggle in some crafting whilst occupying the mini beasts at the same time. Could be interesting.

Stampin' Up! Merry Moments Gift Box

Anyone feeling in the mood for Christmas? I was yesterday afternoon when I had a play with the Stampin' Up! Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' Kit. I adore these kits as much as I enjoy scrapbooking, I love using them to make other stuff too. Here's a gift box:

Stampin_Up

I've used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive card along with a piece of Window Sheet so you can peep at the contents in the box.
Inside is a glass cup filled with marshmallows. I wanted to tie some cinnamon sticks together but alas - my cupboard is bare!

Stampin_Up

I've used a mix of the Designer Papers in the kit as well as some of the sticky strips and self adhesive die cuts. The bauble is one of the die cuts as is the tag. I've used Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim to make a loop on the lid.

For a bit more detail I've used one of the Brushed Bronze Buttons and some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.

Stampin_Up

I decorated the inside of the box too - so it creates a pretty backing for the gift inside.

Stampin_Up

I love how Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well as it takes the headache out of getting colour and products to match.

Why not join my NEW Stampin' Up! Stash Club to spread the cost of crafting and earn freebies too? More details HERE.

Stampin' Up! Perfectly Preserved

Back again with another project for you using fabby new Stampin' Up! products. This is a set of stamps that comes with coordinating Designer Papers. Framelits dies and Designer Fabric too. It's called Perfectly Preserved and here is a simple card I've made:

Stampin_Up

The base card is River Rock. I stamped the jar twice, once onto Whisper White card and again onto Designer Papers before die cutting with the matching Cannery set of Framelits dies. You can buy both the stamp set and the Framelits as a bundle for just £36.50 saving you a whopping 15%.

Then I stamped part of an image from Kidoodles and cut it out to make my water and stuck down. the duck is stamped from Every Little Bit. Both the lid and sentiment are from Perfectly Preserved and the sentiment punched out with the Small Oval Punch.

This is the full set of Perfectly Preserved stamps:

Stampin' Up! Floral District Fabric Owl

A quick post from me today to share another fella made with Stampin' Up! Floral District fabric:

Stampin_up

I've made plenty of these owls before but this fabric really is my favourite. I think I'm going to have to order some more.

I've used those fabulous Brushed Bronze Buttons again for his eyes:

Stampin_Up

I also die cut the outer eyes using Circles #2 Big Shot die. This fabric is just perfect.

More tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Floral District Fabric Elephant

I have been having fun with my sewing machine and the scrummy new Floral District Fabric. I used to collect ornamental elephants when I was younger and whilst I no longer collect them, I do still adore them. I found a gorgeous pattern on the Internet and had to buy it and make a 'fuffant' for myself.

Stampin_up

.My fuffant is a big fella! Oscar (had to give him a name) is 9" high and 12" wide, maybe I should put him on a diet? I lurve this fabric, these are the three fabrics you get in the set:

Stampin_Up

It was a great excuse to use more of the Brushed Bronze Buttons from the Stampin' Up! Seasonal Catalogue for his eyes.

Stampin_Up

All I have to do now is to hide Oscar as Major Mayhem and Commander Chaos have taken a bit of a shine to him and want to drool over him and cuddle him - not going to happen, I'll have to make another one for them to play with / destroy!.

If you'd like to get your mitts on this fabric or other fabrics and products from Stampin' Up! just drop me an email at bluejellystampin@sky.com or give me a call on 07748 707845.

Oh and not forgetting, the pattern came from HERE. Her instructions are really simple to follow.

Stampin' Up! Snow Festival

Good morning - hope you enjoyed the gift bag set I shared with you yesterday? Well today I have another gift bag set for you - but it's completely different. It features some yummy products from the NEW Stampin' Up! Seasonal Catalogue and I just adore this product suite. So let me introduce you to Snow Festival:

Stampin_Up

This is such a great product suite to work with as it contains such a variety of products from Designer Papers, tags and stamp sets to stamping wheels, sweater trim, stitched felt and a builder punch too. Here you can see the beautiful 12"x12" Snow Festival Designer papers which are of course double sided.

Stampin_Up

I love the sheet with the square images on as they make crafting for the most novice crafter so simple. To make my cards I just cut out a square and stuck it on the card base.

Stampin_Up

The bag is the same design as I used earlier this week in Floral District Papers. Here I've used Sweater Trim in Cherry Cobbler for the handles and punched an owl out from the Designer paper to pop on a Punched Scallop Circle to make the tag.

Stampin_up

Here are some more ideas of what you could create with these festive products from Stampin' Up!

Stampin_up

I love the Sweater Trim and you get 9 metres on a roll so it lasts for ages. I have to confess to having the Mitten Builder Punch too - don't just think of it as Christmas Mittens, think new baby cards and also cupcake toppers etc. Very versatile.

There are so many Festive products this year in both the Seasonal and Main catalogue. If you'd like to get hold of a copy - you can order in my side bar, or you can have one for FREE by hosting your own Stampin' Up! party at home or by joining one of my clubs. Of course you can get a WHOLE packet of them to share amongst your friends by joining my team and becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator yourself.
