Been a few days - things are a bit up in the air at the house of Jelly at the moment so it's a card I made last week to show you today. It uses a combination of goodies from the new Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalogue combined with just as scrummy stash from the main Idea Book and Catalogue. I've created yet another pop up card:
The featured stamp set here is the very gorgeous Tea Shoppe which is in the Summer Mini. It's great value for money - look how many stamps you get in the set:
I don't yet have everything I'd like from the new mini so I took my colour inspiration from one of the designer papers in there called Sweet Shop which I'll show you when I do have them! The colours are Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White and Soft Suede. How lucky that we have another pack of papers in the Idea book and Catalogue using some of these colours: Domestic Goddess:
I love the patterned strips sheet with the tea cups and cutlery. I carefully cut around some of the cutlery to make a border for the top of the pop up card. There is a scallop edge print on the paper which matches up perfectly with our Scallop Border punch - saved me on the cutting out!
I struggled to make some saucers to match the cups and in the end used left over pieces from the centre of a letter 'O' from the Big Shot Alphabet Simple Letters! I've accented my tea cups with hearts from the Owl Builder Punch and flowers from Itty Bitty Punch Set. I left the outside of the card quite simple:
I stamped the large tea cup twice and cut out the Pool Party flowers to layer over the Wisteria Wonder one. The Lucky Limeade strip is punched using the Lace Ribbon Border punch and I've added a strip of the Domestic Goddess Designer Paper.
If you want to have a go at one of these pop up cards, the tutorial is available in my left hand side bar.
