Stampin' Up! Word Play

After a good tidy up in the Room of Craft I enlisted the Mini Beasts to help me make a stack of customer thank you cards. Some may be slightly on the wonky side - sorry those were most likely made by me, Zac and Blake are the perfectionists!

Stampin_Up

I love this stamp set - Word Play and was lucky enough to get it for FREE!! Thank you Stampin' Up! I've used Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red, Melon mambo, Lucky Limeade, Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant. Mix it up!

Stampin_Up

The spotty paper is from one of the Colour Stacks and the stars are from a couple of other stamp sets. Hope you like them. Was very satisfying to see them all finished and stacked up.

Stampin_Up

Now to go and write in them all, I don't think I'll ask Zac for help with that though!

Stampin' Up! Swallowtail

I shared a sneak peek of a project I'd been working on ages ago and realised I forgot to show you the completed piece! So without further ado - here is a piece of framed art I made:

Stampin_Up

It features Swallowtail - the large butterfly stamp in the Stampin' Up! Spring / Summer Catalogue and First Edition Speciality Papers.

Here's close up of the butterfly:

Stampin_Up

I added a few Self Adhesive Pearls to the body and had stamped a plain butterfly underneath too. I made a bow using Victoria Crochet Trim and a beautiful Pool Party Button - I do not want to run out of these!

Stampin_Up

The large sentiment is a stamp I got whilst in Vienna with Stampin' Up! - it's our statement of the heart.

Stampin_Up

Sorry to post and run but I have lots of kits to make up for those of you who have already bought my Bloomin' Marvelous postal kit. If you haven't seen it yet - click HERE.

Stampin' Up! Papaya Collage Faux Chalk Board

Hooray - it's the last day of the half term holiday and I'm still almost sane!! I even smuggled some early morning crafting in today and had a play with Papaya Collage which so far hadn't been inked - the shame!

Stampin_Up

It's another faux chalkboard effect card. I enjoyed making this one, great fun embossing and not worrying about the odd smudge here and there.  The wrap was created by using the Amazing Accent Wheel on Vellum to add an extra something - again stamped in Versamark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder. Here's a close up for you:

Stampin' Up! Blast Off!

Are you feeling the love today? It's Valentine's Day here in the UK and everywhere vans are delivering red roses, couples are smooching and pretty much feeling loved up. Hang on - I'm home alone, the mini beasts are at school and nursery and the Spark is at work .....ha ha! I think we take Valentine's day waaay too seriously and me and the Hubs like to take it lightly.

So romance fans - turn away now as this is the card I will be giving to my dear Spark later today:

Stampin_Up

Yep - humour and Valentine's in the house of Jelly. I've made this using basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red, well you've got to keep to some tradition haven't you? Stamp sets used are Blast Off and Dinoroar - those oh so reached for Stampin' Up! Valentine's sets! The spotty Designer Paper is from Polka Dot Parade.

Stampin_Up

I added some bling by making hearts with the Small Heart Punch and the heart from the Owl Builder Punch with Red Glimmer Card. Extra sparkle by colouring our Basic Rhinestones with a Sharpie pen to make them black.

I'm not totally without soul - I will be cooking the Spark a special dinner tonight once the mini beasts have retreated to bed!

Love it up folks!

Stampin' Up! Swallowtail Art

Can't believe I looked out of the window earlier and it was snowing again, still it's stopped now so fingers crossed we're not getting a white-over again this weekend. On a brighter note, playing around with the reinker technique has got me creating so many  different projects using different stamps and this is one of my favourites. Our walls are still quite bare at home so I've been busy making some 'art' to make it feel more like home.

Here's a creation using the new Swallowtail stamp from the Spring / Summer Seasonal Catalogue:

Stampin_Up

I used a 12"x12" sheet of Marina Mist card and added a strip of Patio Party Designer Paper down the side - would have been rude not to as it has images of butterflies all over it.

I made a big ink pad using reinkers in Melon Mambo, Marina Mist and Lucky Limeade. You can see my video tutorial on how to do this HERE. The only difference this time was that I covered the stamp in Versamark Ink before pressing onto the ink pad. This ensures when you stamp onto Whisper White card that the coloured ink sits on the card first with the sticky Versamark ink on top. Next cover it with Clear Embossing powder and set with the Heat Tool.

Then it's time to get messy, grab your Brayer and coat in Midnight Muse ink and brayer lots over your image. Then grab some tissue and rub over to remove any excess ink from the image and trim to whatever size you want it.

I added lots of Basic Rhinestones for some bling.

The letters are stamped in Melon Mambo using Letter It alphabet stamps and cut out - again more Basic Rhinestones added between the letters. I've used the Stampin' Up! strap line 'Inspire, Create. Share'.

More tomorrow - so much to share I could pop!

Stampin' Up! Happy Hello

Brr, who said it could snow? Glad I took some project photos yesterday whilst it was nice and sunny.

Today's projects feature a Stampin' Up! kit called Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit (item 130149). It's a kit containing 8 die cut cards with matching envelopes and plenty of card stock embellishments, Bakers Twine and Self adhesive rhinestones too. This kit isn't available to buy, but the great news is you can earn it for FREE when you order £45 or more of Stampin' Up! products with me before 22nd March. Drop me an email at bluejellystampin@sky.com to find out how easy it is to order.

I have made a few projects up with my kit, not just the cards by adding some Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight card to it. Firstly a card and a gift box:

 Stampin_Up

The card is a die cut one from the kit which I've added a layer of Daffodil Delight card to. I embossed it with Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The matching box again uses just one of the die cut card, add a bit of clever scoring with the Simply Scored tool and a dab of glue and voila, a cute box. I popped one of our cello bags inside with some ribbon, buttons and an ink spot - perfect gift for a crafter or a party hostess.

Stampin_Up

Next up a simple mini album using added Crumb Cake Card, with one of the die cut cards folded over the spine.

Stampin_Up

Four of the cards are pre-printed with 'Hello' so if you don't stamp or have any stamps, there really is nothing to stop you creating with this kit.

Stampin_Up

Inside the pages are decorated with Comfort Cafe Designer Papers and then simply the cards and envelopes from the kit. This means I can pop photos, messages and memories inside.

Stampin_Up

Finally I made a 12"x12" scrap page. Again I've added Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Comfort Cafe papers to the mix. I love this photo of Blake as a baby and is one of many I have printed off ready in the room of craft to scrap with. We used to call him monkey feet as he always held his bottles with his feet not his hands! I've popped one of the flower embellishments on and made a banner from one of the cards - again no stamping involved.

Stampin_Up

Inside the card I've used the top off another card to make a pocket to store something in. I might write a message about how he may look happy drinking his milk but it made him so poorly as it took 18 months to diagnose him as allergic to dairy!

Stampin_Up

After making all this, I still have a card and some envelopes left over to play with so you really do get amazing value for absolutely NOTHING!!!!

I hope I've inspired you to try something other than make cards from your kit.
Back tomorrow with a tutorial on a technique I demonstrated at training at the weekend.

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training Day

I had a brilliant day yesterday running a Stampin' Up! training event in Nottingham with one of my teamies Nic. We enjoyed the company of some of our teamies, their down line, customers and also from other teams too. Have to share the photos (I have their permission!).

The first photo is of Jane and Tracy, next are Nic and Sandrina. Can't possibly share what I said to make them laugh like this, I was laughing too which is the reason for the blurred image!

Stampin_Up

Here are some group shots of everyone beavering away.

Stampin_Up

Everyone was thrilled when the Blues Brother's tune started on the CD player and it was time for prize patrol. Everyone was a winner with a bag containing a decorated notepad, I used the faux chalk board effect - making good use of the Stampin' Up! statement of the heart stamp I got in Vienna last year.

Stampin_Up

These two photos will make me smile for a long time to come,  Louise had no idea I was about to snap her snaffling her cuppa and cake and Liz had us all in stitches talking about her flexible pink slapstick. OK so it's actually a ruler.

Stampin_Up

Of course we had a raffle:

Stampin_Up

Which was awesome as everyone won a prize. I'll be sharing some of our makes and display samples throughout the week so please keep popping back.

If you've been thinking about becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator yourself, now is absolutely the best time to join as we have an amazing promotion of for new demonstrators, you can read more detail about that HERE.

We'll be announcing dates for our next three quarterly training days very soon - watch this space!
