Stampin' Up! Scrapbook Made Easy

Have you ever worried about creating a 12x12 layout and given up at the first hurdle? Well luckily for you (and me) Stampin' Up! currently supply us with beautiful 12x12 Linen Ring Albums and as well as supplying Page Protectors you can also get a pack of wonderful 12x12 Divided Page Protectors. So instead of tackling a full 12x12 page in one go, you can do it in smaller chunks. You'll see what I mean - here is a 6" x 4" section of my page.

Stampin_Up

I've used Pool Party and Crumb Cake Card with Calypso Coral, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. The photo is edged with a strip of Whisper White card using the Scallop Border Punch. I've added a sentiment and punched flowers and then after putting my Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to good use I've done some sewing by hand to tart it up a bit. Yep - you read that right folks, it's not fake it's real!!!

Here is the completed page:

Stampin_Up

As you can most of the sections on this page are 6" x 4" and the other is 6" x  8". I've linked the bottom two together by creating bunting on both sections - really easy to do. I'm finding this a great way to scrap lots of photos as once. I've got boxes full of them. These are from a trip to Spain in 2007 when I was pregnant with Zac. We went with our friends Mark and Shell and got to spend lots of time with my Mum (she lives there).

Here's the opposite page:

And together:

One of the sections close up:

You can see more sewing! I really enjoyed doing it and it was so easy after I'd pierced all the holes.
I've been using the Flower Trim again:

Stampin_Up

Can you see the raised background on the Pool Party card? I used the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder from the Stampin' Up! Summer catalogue - I hope it stays in the next one.

Just for fun - here is a shot of my desk as I was designing these layouts!

Right, I'm off for a lie down. My body doesn't know what I've done to it this week, I did boot camp in the park on Tuesday morning and went for a walk with the girls this morning - ouch!

Stampin' Up! World Treasures

At Stampin' Up! regional training on Saturday we were spoilt with some goodies and given a couple of kits to create Make and Takes with. Stampin' Up! is all about sharing what you love and I have to confess I don't love the stamp set we were using on the projects, so I brought my instructions home, changed the colours and the stamp set to make my own version. A covered notepad and and a little box of note cards:

Stampin_Up

My colour combo is Basic Gray, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Regal Rose teamed up with the stamp set World Treasures and a sentiment from A Word For You.

The textured background was creating using the Simply Scored Tool. I really enjoyed making this - especially the Pool Party flower.

Stampin_Up

Here's a close up for you.

Next the cute box of note cards made using the Two Tags die. I added one of the Designer Builder Brads to mine and popped some Wisteria Wonder DSP in the centre.

Stampin_Up

Here is the box with the note cards, I coloured the stamps with markers as these are all one layer cards and wanted lots of colour.

Stampin_Up

Pop back tomorrow and I'll show you the version Stampin' Up! gave us to make - I cheated and took photos of Dawns sat next to me!

If you'd like to see how to make these, why not contact me to book a Stampin' Up! party - I'll bring everything we need for a great night - and you could earn freebies too depending on your party sales.

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Regional Training

Wow what an incredible day I had yesterday. I travelled to Telford for Stampin' Up! regional training. I am home and full of ideas and cannot wait to get in the room of craft later today!

It was amazing to see so many of my teamies there and I had made those that were able to attend the training a little gift:

Stampin_Up

It was lovely to give them out. Inside the packets I had decorated a notebook and made a Birthday Planner in a tin. Here's one all gift wrapped and lovely looking. I popped them in cello bags and wrapped with the gorgeous 1 1/4" Two Tone Ribbon from the Stampin' Up! Spring Seasonal Catalogue. Lush isn't it?

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

Not clear on the photo above but I used the Honeycomb Embossing folder on the Crumb Cake Card:

Stampin_Up

I love this folder and so hope we get the matching punch in the next catalogue - how cool would that be? Anyhoo, here is the Birthday planner inside the tin. I found a printable template on Pinterest and re-sized it and printed onto Very Vanilla Card. The flower stamp is from World Treasures. I found the cute little clips in a local supermarket and think they are almost Calypso Coral!!!

Stampin_Up

I decorated the notebooks with Tea For Two Designer Papers:

Stampin_Up

Each one was personalised with their initials using Letter It alphabet stamps then decorated with various embellishments:

Stampin_Up

Have you used the Flower Trim yet? I seem to cut the flowers off one at a time to use on my projects, not been brave enough to use more than one at a time - I feel another order coming on!

Here they are all together:

Stampin_Up

Pop back tomorrow to see more from the event and the Make and Take projects we made too.

If you've been thinking about joining Stampin' Up! yourself, I'd love to hear from  you. Drop me an email at:

Stampin' Up! All Day Spring Class

Are you enjoying the sunshine where you are? It's a scorcher here today - I'm hoping the forecast is wrong for the rest of the week but it's not looking fab. So a last week I had my first all day class of the year and we had such a fun filled day. I thought it was about time I shared some of the projects with you. One of the main elements of everyone's kits was the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin' Kit. We made tons of different projects and here is the first one:

Stampin_Up

It's an acetate box (none Stampin Up!) filled with tags and gift cards. The tags are die cut with the Stampin' Up! Two Tags Die and layered with Pool Party Card embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing folder - I love this one sooo much. The flower is from Mixed Bunch.

Stampin_Up

The stamp was inked up with Pool Party Ink and then using a Finger Dauber the edges carefully daubed with Rich Razzleberry or Night of Navy.

Stampin_Up

And here are the matching gift cards. Loads more to share so pop back soon - also for the date of my next all day class in June!
