Stampin' Up! Blendabilities and ahem Christmas!

Good morning - as predicted it's raining. Still my boys school are the eternal optimists and have said they will make a decision about sports day going ahead or not this afternoon at Midday. I can predict it for them, it's going to be postponed. If I'm wrong I'll be doing a mercy dash at around 1pm to take the boys trainers in and feeling a bit silly.

Right then onto the crafting, again I make no apology for my creation using the same  colours as my last couple of posts. I'm tidying them away today so if you love them - sorry they're taking a break. Here's what I made:

Stampin_Up

The card base is Coastal Cabana with a layer of my best friend Crumb Cake. I stamped the pattern from World Treasures in Versamark ink then heat embossed with Pool Party Embossing Powder.

The peacock was stamped with the soon to be available Memento ink and coloured with our fab Blendabilities Pens which you won't have to wait too much longer to get your mitts on! I added a few Candy Dots in matching colours to finish off.

Stampin_Up

Now if you're offended by the mere mention of Christmas as this time of year I don't mind if you finish your reading here. But for those of you who like to get your Christmas crafting done early, I should let you know that some one the carry over products from the last Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter Seasonal catalogue are still available for you to order until 27th of August.

You can see them all by clicking on this link
They are all available to purchase in my Stampin' Up! Shop

Whilst you're there please remember there are literally only a few days left of the Stampin' Up! Retiring products from the current catalogue and they really won't be available to you after the end of the month.

I'm off to clear my desk now, I've been creating so much I can't see my work top - oops!

Stampin' Up! Batman

A very special make f4rom me today. My friend and her husband found out a few weeks ago that their little four year old boy has leukaemia and he's already started his treatment. Whilst he's very poorly he is fighting every step of the way, he's a little super hero. He's also a massive fan of batman so I made these for him:

Stampin_Up_Nottingham

The card is made entirely with Stampin' Up! supplies. I found a fabulous tutorial on how to make the large Batman symbol using the Oval Framelits Dies and the Word Window Punch - who knew?

The fabric owls eyes are die cut using the Circles Big Shot die - not so neat at cutting circles myself! Righto can't loiter as it's day one of the school holidays here.......I have Thomas the Tank Engine cakes to go and bake with Blake now. Loving it!

Back tomorrow with my new class schedule.

Stampin' Up! Life in the Forest On Film

We're having a very animal time in the house of jelly today. The boys have set up a play pet shop downstairs and we've even made pom pom ball and pipe cleaner spiders and parrots out of coloured feathers and cardboard tubes. To top it we're about to watch Turbo. So it seemed right that whilst the boys did their sticking and colouring I did some animal craft too.

Stampin_Up

When I first saw this stamp set I wasn't sure about it but now I'm absolutely in love with it - Life in the Forest. I think the outlined images give us lots of scope for colouring, paper piecing etc. I've taken a break from my usual neutral card base and opted for Coastal Cabana stamped with the new Hardwood background stamp - isn't it gorgeous?

Stampin_Up

Zac insisted that if I was nipping upstairs to the Room of Craft to update my blog that I'd put a photo of him with his creations on too:

I feel we'll be making more of these fellas later!

Stampin' Up! See Ya later Meets Petite Petals

Day one of half term and I'm still here! We had a fab family day yesterday and got up nice and early to get into the city centre to go and see the Lego Movie in 3D. I think there's a chance The Spark and I enjoyed it more than the boys, if you love Lego you'll love this film. So onto the crafting 'cos that's why you visit....

I got to play with the Sale-a-Bration stamp set See Ya later and mixed it up with Petite petals, Flower Shop and Summer Silhouettes. Who says you have to stick to one stamp set? Here's how it turned out:

Stampin_Up

I've used Baked Brown Sugar for the base and other colours Bermuda Bay, Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum. I wrapped the Bermuda Bay Taffeta ribbon around the card layer, making three loops round two fingers before tying a knot - then you can can snip to create all the different lengths. Colour the image with Markers and stamp onto Whisper White card and die cut with a Labels Collection Framelit. I stuck that down with Dimensionals so it didn't scrunch up over all that ribbon!.

Next I stamped and punched my flowers and the leaf stem from Summer Silhouettes, all finished with some Candy Dots. I'm loving these colours together. Must make a note of them on the back of my Colour Coach.

Stampin_Up

I took a few photos of the boys and The Spark whilst we at the cinema, obviously they are a little dark because that's how it is in the cinema:

The boys were thrilled there was a Lego stand and a competition to join in with. Don't they look total dudes in their 3D glasses? Oh and can you see how handy the Stampin' Up! Chevron Bags came in for sharing out the popcorn? Didn't feel the need to decorate them, just put them to good use!

Back tomorrow with more.

Stampin' Up! Life In The Forest

I'm back, woo-hoo. My PC totally died on me last week and I've had to wait incredibly impatiently until today to buy a new one and get it all set up. Patience isn't one of my strong points and whilst I've been crafting and updating Face book, I haven't been able to pull photos through from my tablet to my blog, felt like part of me had gone missing.
Pity party over - Jelly's back!

So do you want to see a set of three cute cards using one of the sets in the new Stampin' Up! seasonal catalogue?

Stampin_Up

LOVE them! The stamp set is called Life in the Forest and features cute animals and greenery too. I'm adoring the simple outline stamps and decided they were perfect for paper piecing so that's what I've done. Keeping it nice and simple with a Crumb Cake card base.

Stampin_Up

I've used our brand new Just Sayin' stamp set and coordinating Word Bubbles Framelits Dies - aren't they cute? I've added sentiments from Perfect Blend and From My Heart too. just shows how well you can mix and match your existing Stampin' Up! products with the new ones.

Stampin_Up

I feel the need to create a scrap layout next, I've got some photos of the boys taken recently and they are too gorgeous to just put in a photo book. Watch this space....

Stampin' Up! Crazy Mixed Up Love

Oh the house seems to quiet today after a noisy fun filled weekend! So a little peace and crafting was the order of the day and today I've made a really cute but simple card for you:

Stampin_Up

I've used Crazy, Mixed Up Love which you'll find in the main Stampin' Up! catalogue. My colour combo is Soft Suede, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Pink Pirouette and Raspberry Ripple.
A bit of heat embossing and some die cutting and Bob's yer Lobster!

Stampin_Up

The arrow is from the Card Thinlits Dies and you can see a video of how to use them here:

I mentioned yesterday that my boys were really excited as they were going to a Birthday Party. Well it was a dance party and Zac and Blake loved it - here's a shot of Blake throwing some shapes on the dance floor:

And the traditional filling your face with sugar pic too:

And on that note I feel the need to go and make myself some lunch!

Stampin' Up! Simply Celebrate Sneak Peek

Jelly's at it again teasing you with sneak peek projects using products you can't order yet - but you only have a little while left to wait!

I got so many compliments for the silver card I made this week so have made a gold one for you today:

Stampin_Up

I had fun creating this one, especially as I get to share a few tips with you. Plus I'm in a proper good mood - in the Room of Craft getting into my crafting groove listening to The Cure Greatest Hits!

So - what's going on with this card then? I've used Brushed Gold Card for my base (5" square by the way). Topped with a layer of soon to be available Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. Don't you just love Stampin' Up!

Hands up if here in the UK you wondered how to use the 'Thankful' die in the Expressions Thinlits Die set? Not a phrase we use a lot on cards, so here's your answer - chop the 'ful' off as shown in the photo below. LOVE the Gold Foil Sheets.

Stampin_Up

Hmm what else can I tell you? No we've not started doing golden adhesive gems, you just need to colour our existing ones with a yellow sharpie or other permanent pen. Other upcoming products I've used include Gold Sequin Trim, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape and the fabulous stamp set Simply Celebrate. I was so lucky to win this on prize patrol at Stampin' Up! convention in November. i've created my tag again this time using a die from Chalk Talk and only popping the top of the tag through the cutting part of the die.

Now you've seen all that do you have a wish list as long as your arm? Watch this space for news of my soon to begin never ending craft party!!!

You might want to pop by tomorrow as I'll have a FREE tutorial available for you.

Stampin' Up! Tape It

Wow we have had such a fabulous family weekend. Yesterday we took the boys and my Mum in Law to Sherwood Pines in the heart of Sherwood Forest to follow the Stick Man Trail and the Discovery Trail too. We made dens, looked for clues, walked, climbed and had oodles of fun and fresh air.

We had a little incident when Blake fell over on a boardwalk and landed on his face, luckily we were not far from the first aid area and the staff were brilliant. So many parents offered us tissues and wipes as I carried Blake, I think there is always way too much blood from a mouth injury than anywhere else. Blake thankfully is fine and didn't need stitches, just a bit of attention and some cuddles. Here's a little of what we got up to:

I took far too many pictures so I foresee a scrapbook session coming my way! We went for a lush pub tea on the way home and the boys ended up going to bed early as they were absolutely shattered.

So this morning I snuck in a little craft time whilst everyone slept in...... at Stampin' Up! convention in Manchester I was thrilled to be a lucky prize patrol winner and won some soon to be available products. I can't show you them just yet but I can share the card I made using one of the stamp sets:

Stampin_Up

If you can't guess it, the sentiment is from the new set. Now I happen to have a new found love for Washi Tape and am glad Stampin' Up! have a variety of different styles available, however if you want some everlasting Washi Tape - you may want to get your mitts on this nifty stamp set Tape It. I've stamped on Whisper White card in Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding and Smoky Slate.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

For a little detail I using the pricking tool and mat to create some faux stitching and joined together with a Smoky Slate Marker. Nice to make something so simple but so pretty.

Must go - more family time planned in now.

Stampin' Up! That's The Ticket Plus Sneak Peek!

Ooooh we have SO MANY new products coming your way very soon and you are going to love them. I actually got in the room of craft today - kind of had to as we had the builders in downstairs (I know, like I need an excuse) and made some thank you cards for the boys to send out. They were really lucky at Christmas and I think I will be needing to make up another batch of cards very soon. Want to see them?

Here you go - the first batch of 15:

Stampin_Up

I've used Soft Suede for my card bases and layered up with some soon to be available Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper, I'm loving them - and love them even more because they were FREE - one of the FABULOUS product gifts we were given at last years Stampin' Up! Convention. I made the tab shaped top and rounded corners using the Envelope Punch Board, a very versatile tool indeed!

Join_Stampin_Up

I've used on of the stamps from That's the Ticket and stamped a sentiment over the top from  before using the Ticket Punch to cut out.

Stampin_Up_UK

Loving the Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana Ruffled Stretch Ribbon and of course the Candy Dots too.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

Just look at these lush paper designs:

Stampin_Up_Class

Only seems right to share with you a photo of Zac when he saw Santa (Farmer Christmas!) had been to visit. He was worried we'd get missed out as we were staying at Grannies. Please note - the presents were for all the family - not just Zac and Blake!

Stampin' Up! Mosaic Madness

Right - the weather forecast couldn't have been more wrong this weekend so far. Yesterday we were issued with a weather warning for flooding and it was a beautiful day. Today it's supposed to be bright sunshine and whilst it's dry and warm, the sun ain't shining! I think I'll just stick my head outside in future to do my own forecast!

So yesterday was not only Blake's friend Lola's Birthday but it was also my lovely friend Erin's big day too. She very kindly took Blake to Lola's party for me and this is the Birthday card I'd made for her:

Stampin_Up

It's a 7" x 5" card in Crumb Cake (yes folks, Jelly is back in the Crumb Cake zone) and the design is one I cased off Pinterest. My colour combo is Pool Party, Pink Pirouette and Pistachio Pudding. Love the Pistachio Pudding Ruffled Stretch Ribbon

The flower is from Flower Shop which is a bit fab as you can buy the stamp set as a bundle with the Pansy Punch saving you money - always a bonus to have saved money to spend on something else - like the lush In Color Boutique Details

This is a right mish mash of a card actually, the sentiment is from Happy Day, other sets used are Bright Blossoms and Summer Silhouettes.

Can't loiter today as hubs is on his way home from work early, so pleased as he worked all day yesterday and didn't think he'd be back until late today either.

Looking forward to tomorrow as I'll be crafting all day with my teamie Louise.

Stampin' Up! Wishing You

Aaaw, my neighbours little girl is celebrating her fourth Birthday today and Blake is at her party right now. I'm supposed to be there too but Zac has come down with 'boy flu' is there a child version of man flu I wonder?) and so I'm stuck home being nurse!

I had fun making a card for Lola using one of the Christmas stamp sets from the new Stampin' Up! Seasonal Catalogue called Wishing You. Just goes to show it doesn't have to be for Christmas:

Stampin_Up
Stampin' Up! Wishing You stamp set.

The photo above shows you a close up of the stamped part of the card. I stamped the Wishing You image four times in Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Crush, Pink Pirouette and Pool Party, then cut them out and layered up using Dimensionals to add depth.

Here's the full card:

Stampin_Up
Stampin' Up! Wishing You stamp set
It's a 6" square card in Crumb Cake. The letters and number are die cut using the Big Shot and dies from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue.

Righto, I'm off to cuddle Zac, back tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Bitty Butterfly

Aw we've had lots of giggles in the house of Jelly today. My teamie and friend Louise came for a play date with her cutie daughter Grace. I'd made a card and a gift for Louise and it was great to give it her in person, of course it was all made with Stampin' Up! products:

Stampin_Up

Both are made with Crumb Cake Card. First I used the Colour Spritzer Tool with a Soft Suede Marker to create the splattered background. Next I cut banners from various designer papers and stuck them down.

Stampin_Up

Then for some faux stitching I pierced holes using the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack and drew in the stitching with the Soft Suede Marker. I stamped a doily from Delicate Doilies, punched out, layered with a smaller circle and then used the Bitty Butterfly Punch with more DSP and Self Adhesive Pearls.

Stampin_Up

The matchbox style slider box is made in just the same way with an Antique Brad to pull it open.

Stampin_Up

And if you're wondering how much chaos the kidlets all got up to......Grace was no shy lady and hopped straight in bed with Zac!

Enjoy the rest of your day

Stampin' Up! From My Heart

Wow - I appear to have survived week one of the school holidays. Of course I have had help from my lovely in-laws who have taken Blake out a few times to let Zac get some quiet and rest up. I hope they took some photos of Blake as he's spent hours riding on the Nottingham trams wearing his 'engine driver' cap! Great for scrap booking - fingers crossed.

Sometimes we need to make cards for difficult times and I'm sharing one of those today:

Stampin_Up

it's a 5" square card using Natural Composition Speciality Papers (so NOT paper it's good card stock). I've added a strip of lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit which you can find in the Stampin' Up! Spring Seasonal Catalogue. The sentiment is From My Heart stamp set in Crumb Cake on Pool Party Card

Stampin_Up

I've used a Blender Pen and ink from the pad squeezed into the lid to add a bit of shading. Flowers are punched in Crumb Cake card with Itty Bitty Punches and finished with a few Self Adhesive Pearls.

I believe the next twenty minutes of my life have already been mapped out for me in the form of picking up all the bits of Play Doh that the mini beasts have positioned across the floor for me. Bless them!

Stampin' Up! From My Heart

Ooh I'm feeling every bit as rough as I deserve after my birthday celebrations yesterday! Thankfully I made a few projects last week and can share one of them with you today. It's a card for a lovely friend of mine:

Stampin_Up

I've used the beautiful floral card from Natural Composition Speciality Pack. The Doily is from the Stampin' Up! Spring Seasonal catalogue - I coloured it by using a Brayer and Crumb Cake ink pad.
Aren't the papers beautiful the way they have a raised glossy print on them?

Stampin_Up

The sentiment is stamped in Rose Red on to Pool Party card and cut out. The sentiment is From my Heart. There isn't a die, I confess to cutting this by hand. I dragged the ink around a bit using a Blender Pen.

 Stampin_Up

Isn't the ribbon lush? It's two-tone Silky Smooth 1 1/2" ribbon in Pink Pirouette and Rose Red. I also added three Large Self Adhesive Pearls.

Off to cuddle Zac now, he's not a happy chappy and is really suffering so much more than Blake did with the chicken pox.

Stampin' Up! Faux Chalkboard

Woo-hoo what a fabby day. The sun is shining, there is actually no snow, I repeat there is no snow. The Easter Bunny has been to visit the Mini Beasts, I'm celebrating my birthday - the only bummer is that Zac is really not doing well with the chicken pox thing. Still hubby is home today and tomorrow to help me look after him.

So after my exciting news at getting published yesterday I'll share another of my faux chalkboard creations with you. This is my favourite one:

Stampin_Up

I've used a right mish mash of different stamps on this one but love the way it turned out, not so clean and simple as my usual style.

Can't stop - much chocolate to nosh and cake to stick my face in!

Stampin' Up! Scentsational Season Perfectly Preserved

Wo-hoo made it into the room of craft today, albeit not for very long as the Mini Beasts insisted on a game of hide and seek the minute I stepped foot in there. It's all when and good for them, but there aren't that many places Jelly can hide. Still I did enjoy my 9 minutes of peace and quiet in the wardrobe whilst they sussed out where I was.

So my quick make today combines two stamp sets Perfectly Preserved and Scentsational Season. This is what I came up with. My colour combo is Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, Real Red and Whisper White.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

I cut an aperture using the jar from the Cannery Framelits set then stamped the jar from Perfectly Preserved using StazOn ink onto Vellum Card Stock. I popped this behind the jar and stamped the gingerbread man from Scentsational Season in Soft Suede on Whisper White. He was then cut out using the matching die from the Holiday Collection Framelits dies.

 Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

I used Self Adhesive Pearls for his buttons then stamped the lid in Real Red before die cutting that too. No scissor action for me today The tags are punched withe the Jewellery Tag Punch and stamped with Tiny Tags and Make a Mitten. I'm loving the new Polka Dot Parade Designer Papers - so bright.

Well, cold and dull as it is I'm taking the Mini Beasts to the park now to try and tire them out - they're taking it turns to wake up in the middle of the night and get in bed with us at the moment and we need our sleep!
