Stampin' Up! My Craft Space Storage

OK so today I don't have a new project to show you as we're having a full on play day! The lounge has been turned into a shop or so I'm told and the kids bedroom can only really be described as urm, a mess!!! Still we're having fun so that's all that matters :)

Anyhoo, not wanting to leave you without something to oggle at I decided to show you my punch and Big Shot area in Jelly's Room of Craft.

Stampin Up Uk

To give you an idea, the Room of Craft is about 2.5m by 1.5m so I have to organise it carefully. This step thing with shelf was already in place when we bought the house - it held a shelf up across the width of the room and it's built over the staircase but under a cupboard so I decided to keep it! I (and I use 'I' loosely and of course mean 'he') added the rail from the famous Swedish store to add my extra punches too. It is starting to get a bit cramped now but I have an overflow space ready to do.

Here's how it fits into my room:

Stampin Up Demonstrator

It's great as it's opposite my work surface so I can just swing round on my chair (being careful not to whack me knees on the door) and die cut away or punch without having to move things around. the cupboard is huge too - it's got two big shelf and drawer units insid eit but it's a complete tip right now so now way am I showing you that!

Would love to hear how you store your dies and punches too.

Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering Mini Book

Yesterday I shared the fabric scissor cases I demonstrated to some of my team and today I'm going to share the other project I demo'd. It's a case of a project by Dawn and you can watch the video tutorial HERE.

Mouthwatering Stampin Up

I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and getting together with my team to share ideas. Everyone made their own version of this cute book featuring Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering stamps. The colour combo for this one is all of this years In Colours.

I've also used the Sweet Shop Designer Series Papers - they are just so yummy. Here is the inside with all the pockets and pull out cards to pop photos or notes on.

This is the one I made with everyone else, I don't often use oranges and yellows but I actually like the way this turned out, feels very summery.

Stampin Up Mouthwatering

Another view, can't wait to print some photos off and pop them inside these. Wouldn't they make great gifts?

I also showed the team how to use the Clear Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool to build up numerous layers to create the lovely glossy effect on the lolly:

Now I must get out of my pj's and get dresses as National Grid are back in my house again today (groans).

Stampin' Up! Fabric Sneak Peek

I've had a fab day today with a gathering of some of Team Jelly at my house. We shared ideas, things to try, updates and projects too. I demonstrated a really easy fabric project I found on You Tube HERE.

I've seen a few versions of this Stampin' Up! Paper Snips case but they all used a die we don't have here in the UK. This one however is made using the Petal Cone Big Shot die and is really easy to make. Do you like the fabric? Hope so as you'll be able to get it here in the UK soon!

My demonstration showed a really time saving way to sew a button and ribbon together to create a bow. On this one I've used Real Red Satin Ribbon and an Old Olive Button.

I made enough to give one to everyone in my first level, some using the gorgeous Twitterpated fabrics.

Even made a cute pattern with them too

Back tomorrow to show you a project we made using the Simply Scored Board.

Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering Bunch!

Ooh did you see the opening ceremony of the Olympics last night? Wasn't it incredible? Today I don't have an Olympic or Team GB themed project but I do have another Stampin' Up! project featuring the Mouthwatering stamp set.

On my card today I have used the cherry stamp from the set:

My card layout is based on the sketch over at Less is More challenge, it's been ages since I joined in any challenge but I can always guarantee that theirs get my mojo going!

My card base is Real Red teamed up with Whisper White, Garden Green and Old Olive. I stamped my sentiment from Baroque Motifs in Versamark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder. I stamped the cherry twice, once on the card itself and another time on a piece of scrap card so I could heat emboss it with Clear Embossing Powder to build up a few layers and create a glossy finish.

All went well until I cut them out and I cracked one of me cherries - oops! Ah well - I might re-make this one at some point.

Got to go and get dressed now, there's a lot to be said for crafting in your pj's but at some point a girl has got to make herself presentable in case anyone comes to the door.

Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering Melons!

I've made some daft cards for you today! My boys are at their Grandparents for the day and I'm prepping for a team gathering this Sunday but squeezed making a few cards. I've used the Stampin' Up! set Mouthwatering again as I'm featuring it on my blog this week. Today it's the turn of the water melon!

I've used a colour combo of River Rock, Melon Mambo and Garden Green.

The letter 'a' is from Just Perfect and the sentiment from the exclusive hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes.

The spotty paper is Melon Mambo from the Brights Stack. I've made the trim using the Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. Like the lolly pop cards earlier this week, I've used Versamark ink before the Melon Mambo ink and used layers of Clear Embossing Powder, pouring more on each time I heated it until it was glossy enough.

And my final card:

Exactly the same products used here, just a different sentiment stamped out.

Righto - much to do, must get on as I have the boys to occupy me tomorrow whilst the Spark goes off to do a house bashing job - that's a full electrical re-wire!

Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering Bunting

It was pretty foggy here this morning so I made the most of it and nipped outside to mow the lawn and do a spot of weeding. I filled 4 garden sacks - oops, still lots more to do but it's a start. Once the sun comes out I get all sneezy and itchy so I'm a late and early gardener.

At the weekend I went to my Brother's wedding and the beach reception was decorated with bunting. Really summery so I made some today (after the weeding got too much).

Not sure this photo really shows it off but it does show off the newly mowed lawn! I've inked up the yummy ice cream from Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering, how I've waited so long to use it I just don't know. It's hung here on Commander Chaos and Major Mayhem's play pit.

I've used the gorgeous embossed papers from the Sweet Shop range (how dare I use so much in one go!) and combined them with Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Calypso Coral and Wisteria Wonder. Yum.

The bunting is created using the Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die with a piece from Top Note across the top.

I've got to find a way to take better photos so you can see the awesome raised hearts on this paper.

The ribbon is Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon - one of this years In Colours.

Finally a pic I had to share as Blake wandered into the shot wearing my birkies on the wrong feet:

The boys are wanting to play in the sandpit now so I guess I might have to do a bit more weeding and sneezing!

Ooh - I'm also entering this in this months challenge with Shelli as she is asking us to use something new to us - well that's the ice creams folks :)

Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering

In celebration of Summer finally arriving (along with my hay fever - thanks for that) I had a play with one of my stamp sets from the Summer Mini that shock, horror and shame, I hadn't inked up yet! So here's to Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering finally seeing the light of day:

It's a gorgeous set of four stamps featuring an ice lolly, a bunch of cherries, an ice cream and a slice of water melon. Today I'm featuring cards made with the ice lolly to help cool me down. I'm seriously melting here.

I love this photo - not only does it show off the fabulous Stampin' Up! Sweet Shop Designer Papers, the Melon Mambo ink and the oh so glossy triple embossing - it also shows how easy it is to get a piece of blue fluff slap in the middle of your embossing.

Here's the card in full:

The card base is Sahara Sand and as I mentioned the papers are the Sweet Shop series. I love these as two of them are seriously embossed and have a fabulous texture to them. My sentiment here is from You're Cherished. I had the scalloped semi circle already in my drawer of leftovers. it's in Regal Rose and is from the Petal Cone Die.

Here's the next card:

It's the same but different, this time I've done the ice lolly in Pool Party. It's really easy to do, ink up the stamp with Versamark and then pop Pool Party ink on the top and stamp. Sprinkle the image with Clear Embossing Powder and use the Heat Tool to melt the powder. Before it has chance to cool, sprinkle on more embossing powder and heat again. Continue until the image is up to your own standard of glossiness. I cut my lolly out and layered it on another stamped image. The sentiment here is from Something Sweet.

Final card:

Made in the same way but this time with two lolly pops on - I like this one best I think. This time the sentiment is from Crazy for Cupcakes. I must use that set more often.

Here are all the cards together:

Right I'm off to keep Commander Chaos and Major Mayhem off the poor National Grid chaps who are currently moving our gas meter and inlet pipe with much assistance / interference from said mini beasts!

Stampin' Up! Fabric Bag

Mmmm loving the fact that summer is here. Not so much loving the fact I have National Grid digging up the road right outside my house or that sometime this week or next they want to come in and move our gas outlet pipe and our meter. Can't quite relax knowing I'm about to be disturbed but not sure exactly when!
Anyhoo, I have had the sewing machine out again today for a play. One of the things that bugs me is buying a cold bottle of water, popping it in my bag and then the contents of said bag getting soggy due to the condensation. I've seen lots of bottle bags about in blogland so decided to have a go at making myself one:
I've used the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Beau Chateaux fabrics and with much patience, got my bag made! I've popped a flower on the band created using the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die and a couple of Subtles Buttons. Did you know that our Bigz dies cut through fabric? So quick and easy to make:
I had some thread just the right match to the button and fabric - bonus!
Here's the bag so you can see the handle too:
I used lining fabric in between the two layers of the bag and it's base to give it a bit of extra strength, in hindsight I guess I should have used some insulating fabric! Maybe next time.

Also just wanted to share with you a cutie photo from the weekend, I will scrapbook it when I can nip out to the photo printing shop. We went down to Kent to my eldest brother's wedding and our boys were playing about after their bath before the evening reception:

Zac is on the left, showing off his new 'bashed out tooth' smile! Good shot Blake.....

A new friend of mine has a fabulously creative blog and she also has a weekly crafty linky party! You just need to follow her blog Polkadot-Pretties and visit at least one other link from the party to share the love!

I'm linking up with this water bottle - and the mini beasts of course!
Enjoy the sunshine
